| Getting the ticvkets was major. I did it by phone and you couldn't get any kind of cancellation or information etc. It took a long time. I don't know what we expected, but it was a ride around the harbor with an interesting talk of sites, but we could have done as well with a water taxi and it was expensive. | ||||||

| I always wanted to visit Charleston, S.C. Finally, I arrived in Charleston, S.C. on Thursday, April 2, 2009! It was pouring down rain all day. I rented a car and began my tour. First stop the Charleston Visitor Center, I was fascinated by all the history of this famous, quaint town, I collected maps and travel guides, insideof one of the travel guides was the advertisement for the Habor "Tour. That evenning, I reached my childhood friend's home who had moved to the, Charleston area several years ago. However, because of her disabilities, she had not been able to do much touring of this beautiful area that she lives in. Her son takes her to an adult day care during the week and the weekend is spent living and doing with his family. It was my pleasure and my treat to spend the weekend with my friend touring the Charleston area. The highlight of the weekend was the fabulous harbour tour! The weather was absolutly beautiful! The 3:30p.m. cruise on Friday, April 3, 2009, was delightful and amazing. The Captin and our tour guide on this wonderful adventure around the Charleston harbor was phenominal as he pointed out all the historical sites and landmarks!. The Captain's speaking voice was quite peculiar and capitvating in tone, his fasinating descriptions lulled me into a fantacy of how it was in Charleston during the 1800's. I took plenty of picutres that will tell the story of my adventure to Charleston, S. C., Gateway to the South, | ||||||

| We had a wonderful time on the trip. Got a great history lesson as well as wonderful views of Charleston and the Harbour. We saw many dolphins close to the boat. My son was even invited by the captain to steer the boat. I highly recommend the trip! | ||||||

Charleston Harbor Tour and Carriage Tour

| This was our first visit to Charleston and we enjoyed both tours immensely! Our tour guides were very informative and we particularly liked carriage driver John's sense of humor as well as his knowledge as we rode throughout the city. We highly recommend both of these tours because they're very different and gave us a real "feel" for the beautiful city of Charleston. | ||||||

| My husband and I are local, but wanted to take his family on some "touristy" things when they came to visit. We enjoyed the harbour tour (make sure you bring sunscreen and a jacket). Our harbour tour guide was enthusiastic and knowledgable. Our carriage ride guide was boring, hard to hear from the back row, and just generally a drag. After having been on numerous carriage tours before with other out of town groups, this guy really did not explain much and what he did explain was a bit inaccurate. I feel like most of the tour consisted of him driving really slowly past a lot of parking garages and non-historic things. We went past historic houses, but he did not explain them at all or why they are siginificant. Even though the carriage ride was a bust, I still reccomend taking one because you might get a good guide. | ||||||

| My parents were in town from TN and we had a blast. It was very informative and fun. I've lived here for 8 years and still learned things I didn't know and saw things I had never seen before. I definitely recommend. Not a bad price either! | ||||||

| We had our 7 year old son with us and he was the only child on aboard. The crew went out of their way to make him feel special and he had a great time. While I enjoyed the history of Charleston, he enjoyed feeding the seagulls! | ||||||

Great Sunday afternoon tour

| My wife and I went on a Sunday. It was cold out to sea, so we weren't able to sit on the upper deck. The crew was very polite and friendly, they allowed a few young children to pilot the boat for a few minutes. The narrator was very enthusiastic and informative. There were snacks, tea and hot cocoa for sale at a reasonable price. I highly recommend that you sit either on the upper deck, or the right side of the lower inside deck, because nearly all of the sites are on the right side, and if the boat is crowded like ours was, you won't be able to see them. All in all it was a good tour. Not bad for the price. | ||||||

| I bought the combo harbour/carriage tour. The harbour tour was not worth the time or money. Didn't see anything close enough to get excited over. Tide did not cooperate with us. My father had to climb up steps and down steps to enter and exit boat. He is handicapped. Very difficult for him. I will have to say that the crew did all they could to help him. This tour is not suitable to take if you have difficulty with your legs. The carriage tour was amazing. I would highly recommend that you purchase this tour by itself and leave off the harbour tour. Tour guide and experience was tremendous on this tour. This is the only way to see Charleson in my opinion. | ||||||
