Charleston Harbor Tours

This was a great tour. Crew was very professional, polite and friendly. Captain was very knowledgeable about the history, but it would have been very interesting to get more info on the British seige of Chas. and not just the attack on Ft. Sullivan. Great dolphin watching, kids loved that the most. I had wanted to take the family on one of the pirate tours, but they were booked. This was a great alternative. Also, a nice cool, breezy break from the heat and sun.

We enjoyed our trip; however, the mosquito bites were very painful as we had a picnic at Boone Hall.

We started with the plantation tour. My only disappointment is that the house is "new." We enjoyed the ambience, the gardens, and especially the Gullah presentation. The house tour was lacking in that the house is not period and only a small part is open. The tourguide was very informative. We didn't have time for the coach tour but we will catch it on the next visit. The harbor tour was well done, relaxing and very informative. The crew was very attentive to the needs and requests of the passengers. Overall, a very good way to 'meet' the city. We will do it again. I think the combination tour was a good value and I highly recommend it to anyone.

My husband and I took this tour. The buggy was full with other couples that we didn't know. The tour guide (can't remember his name) was very nice, very informative, very knowledgeable and a nice sense of humor. We had a great time and would recommend this carriage ride to others. My only negative comment would be that the tour guide mentioned touring the Calhoun Mansion when we were going down Meeting Street. We did this tour and found it to be a big rip off. I would suggest that the tour guides not recommend their passengers to visit this mansion.

My husband and I really enjoyed both the outings, and we had the luxury of deciding when to use them; we weren't shuffled around from one thing to another. Both the harbor tour and the carriage ride had intelligent, informed guides, and we got to see some wonderful sites.

We really enjoyed the Mystery Cruise!! All the actors did a great job! We loved how they interacted with us!! I would of liked there to have been another bartender; we had to wait in line a long time for drinks.

All the actors were GREAT and really made my wifes birthday a special day. Great trip and lots of fun. Especially my "Emmy Lou Hart" with her remembering names so well loved her... Mr. Duane

we took the carriage ride first - got to know the town a bit - did the "market" and lunch and then drove around ourselves and took pictures then went to the harbor for the boat tour - learned the history and enjoyed the trip so enjoyed both tours would highly recommend to others - as a matter of fact - got back to work on monday and couldn't say enough about charleston and the activities available will consider doing this again and possibly stay in charleston instead of just doing the day. GREAT

Missed 11:00 boat but changed ticket to 1:00 no problem. Highly recommend to anyone

I would definitely recommend going on this tour! I am an extremely large lover of the water :) but it really is a gorgeous way to view the Harbor and all the Forts. The captain was a pretty entertaining guy and definitely gave you a lot of background information about everything that has happened in all the different spots!

The day was perfect, sunny, breezy and just a great day to be on the water. The Captain was so informative and we have been to several historical places here but we still learned something new from him. It was so interesting to see Charleston from the water it gives a whole new perspective to Charleston. Thanks we will be back again.

We really enjoyed the harbour cruise. The captain was very entertaining & informative. I told my husband afterwards this was my most favorite thing we did while in Charleston. The scenery was beautiful. We just really had a good time

With the combo ticket, you get a slice of Charleston by land and also by sea. The carriage barn has a small selection of animals for the kids to pet and restrooms to use before the hour ride.. The carriage ride is narrated by the driver who has a microphone and the boat ride is narrated by the captain over a speaker system. The seating on the carriage is assigned, but on the boat it's the first to board who gets to choose the best seating if they move swiftly enough. If it's a nice day, choose the top, open air level on the side AWAY from the dock when boarding. Once the boat pulls away, it's that side which gets the straight on view of the coastline and Fort Sumpter. The boat also goes under the Ravenel Bridge which is awesome.There is also on board adult beverages and sodas, water and a small selection of cold lunch items and snacks, as the boat tour is two hours. The combo ticket has some flexibility because even though the boat tour has an assigned day and time, you can take the carriage ride any day and time before or after the boat. We enjoyed both very much and have purchased this combo twice.

Outstanding value, interesting history, beautiful scenery, safe, and enjoyable...Will do it again and again...Wonderful, you will not be disappointed...
