We take our granddaughter on an outing before she goes back to school every year. This year we decided on a Harbour Tour and Carriage Ride. The Harbour Tour was great; however, for her age, we believe that she would have enjoyed a carriage ride around tha battery rather than seeing the older homes which she wouldn't have understood the history. We know that this was based on the "luck of the draw". We still had a nice day. |

We spent a delightful morning/afternoon touring around Charleston Harbor! The free parking was great and the ticket process simple. Our captain provided a very interesting narrative of the area and we thouroughly enjoyed the whole experience! I can't wait to do it again when my next visitors come to town!!
The only warning I would like to give is that there is a charge for ordering the tickets on line which I didn't feel was explained in the purchasing process. However, I would still order tickets ahead of time in order to avoid the chance of not getting on the tour of my choice. |

The cruise was informative and fun. We saw downtown, Fort Sumter, and Patriot's Point, and sailed under the Ravenel Bridge. Things look different from the water. It's very enjoyable. |

This cruise was one of the major highlights during our stay in Charleston. To my surprise, the band really played real blues music music. The length of the cruise was just perfect and the time of the evening was also great. I arrived a day early in order to make the cruise and was not disappointed at all. If you like blues music, you will love this cruise and the band was just super. Cleve Haynes from Ft. Washington, MD |

Food was good, band was great and the weather was perfect.....the boat just eased along through the harbor while the band played so we got to see all the sights of a regular tour.....no commentary but all you had to do is ask someone what a landmark might be......If we could only do one activity while we were in Charleston, this would be the one.....!!! Definitely on our "to do" list for our next visit to Charleston.....!!! |

We only had a day to spend in Charleston so we decided that a combo tour was the way to go. We had hoped to do the triple combo tour which included a harbour tour, city carriage tour, and a plantation tour but we didn't have time to do all three. If we had more time we definitely would have selected that combo as there is no restriction on when you take two of the three tours. I believe the harbour tour was the only one that required a booked time. We still did the combo harbour/plantation tour and it was a great introduction to the city of Charleston. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we are now planning a longer vacation there next year and you can bet we'll be doing more tours! |

Too crowded

The boat was far too crowded. Once you got a seat you really had to stay in your seat. Unfortunately we ended up in the back of the boat (I know there's a nautical term but I'm a land lubber) and the smell of the fuel was quite awful.
The information provided by the guide was excellent and in just the right amount of detail (not too much, not too little). The guide was able to be heard and he spoke very well. |

The habor boat ride was enjoyed it was a great morning. On the other hand the carriage ride would have been a lot better if we was so crammed in the seat so tight. It wasn't so enjoyable. It was a warm afternoon and we had no room to breath. |

We had a few days left before we continued on our trip with so much to take in the combo tickets worked for us. We were able to squeeze in the sites we wanted at a reasonable price and the timing worked out so that we went from one activity to the next without time wasted. Recommend highly |

My husband took this tour and really enjoyed it. We sat in the back because the water was a bit rough. the tour guide was great. he came out to personally speak to each passenger which was nice. He had a lot of fun information to share and some good jokes. I would recommend this but perhaps when the weather is a bit cooler. |
