Charleston Harbor Tours

The boat ride was relaxing and interesting. We had good views of the harbor, James Island, Ft. Sumter, Sullivan's Island, the Yorktown, the Charleston-Mt. Pleasant bridge, and the loading docks. The crew was very hospitable as well.

We took this tour because we had a half day to take in a bit of Charleston, and we didn't get as much out of it as we hoped. It didn't even go by the South Battery, which I really expected it to. The boat was comfortable, and the captain well-informed, and when he spoke it was interesting. We ended up wishing we had taken a carriage tour instead. However, if you have a whole day, it is possible and worthwhile to do both.

LOVE IT

We took a boat ride to see Ft. Sumter and was able to get off the boat there. This attraction was mainly a nice boat ride and we got to see many historical attractions and heard a description of them all. Staff was friendly.

We loved Boone Hall. There was lots to see and do. Gulla presentation by Sharon was the highlight. Enjoyed tour of produce fields but had to wait for driver twice. Did not run on half hour. Tour of harbor was so-so. Not enough to see except for bridge and Ft. Sumter. Would have been okay if weather wasn't so hot; the boat moved too slowly for a cooling breeze. Did reservations on line because flyer didn't give enough info. Probably could have bought tickets at dock and saved $4.00 processing fee. Would definitely recommend Boone Hall, Harbor Tour not so much.

We loved the music but the boat was too crowded. I would suggest increasing the price and reducing the amount of people.

We had a great time just enough time on the water to see the sights and enjoy the company on the boat.

Up until the violent thunderstorm, everything was perfect! It was a clear evening, there was a nice breeze, the music was delightful, and the other people on board were all friendly and in good spirits. The food was a plus! We didn't have a sunset, but we did get to see a beautiful red sky just before the first bolt of lightning. For safety reasons, the music came to a halt, and the captain had all of us go down below. But I would definitely recommend the tour to anyone who doesn't own a boat and wants to be out on Charleston Harbor for a good time.

Excellent trip; the food is top notch and the band are equally proficient - sadly, the weather closed in and we had to return a few minutes early. Understandably, the band had to move their instruments inside ... ... we'd go again!

We have taken the cruise twice. The first we enjoyed very much. The musicians were downstairs and we found this to be better than the second trip when the musicians were downstairs. The caterers are excellent. Very friendly and personable, they make every effort to meet needs.

Had to give our tickets away at the last moment.

Even w/the storm that brewed while on the water the first 1/2 of the ride was great, would recommend to everyone. Always nice to be in the harbor, seeing the tourist sites and enjoying some blues.

The harbor tour was fantastic!

The carriage driver was informative and knowledgeable. This was a good way to see this interesting city. However, we felt too much like sardines crammed into the wagon with so many people. Next time, we will take a smaller/private carriage ride. The harbor tour was also very interesting, and a good value for the money. We went on a Tuesday, so there was not much of a crowd.
