Excellent Tour

The Tricombo tour is an excellent bargain All of the tour guides were very knowledgeable. We also able to tske the tours at our leisure thus allowing ourselves time to enjoy each tour. The Boone Hall Plantation does take a good 3 hours to thoroughly see. All three of these tours give you an excellent overview to the Charleston area and its history. We first time viditors to the Charleston area 3t

Really pleasant time on the water. Relaxing and informative. The captain had just the right amount of historical information to keep it interesting without overloading me.

Carriage Ride a MUST!

Harbor - Recommend - interesting, but not over the top in any way - would go again. Carriage - Enthusiastically Recommend! - Highlight of our visit - Interesting guide with a wealth of knowledge. Cannot be missed by anyone wanting to know the history of Charleston. Boone Hall Plantation - Not Recommend - more interesting for the movie use aspect, but not for the history. House was built in the 20th century and has little history to share. Would NOT repeat this portion of our visit at all. While the grounds were interesting and beautiful, the main reason we wished to visit was to see a Plantation home with a rich history, and this was not the case. Very disappointed.

The boat tour was full of information but we had bad seats and there were people that were actually holding good window seats with their bags and purses. The carriage tour wwas nice. The guide was friendly too. We loved Boone Hall. The guide on the trolly was fantastic. Overall, Boone Hall was my favorite.

Fantastic trip

This has been our second trip on the Carolina Belle with visiting family. There isn't a negative thing I can say. The crew was great. Captain Dave was friendly, knowledge and gave us more than our money's worth, so to speak. My cousins enjoyed it so much they are planning to do the same cruise again on their next visit! Of course, neither the ship nor the crew can take credit for the weather, which was fabulous, but the ship is designed that you could enjoy the outside if you chose, be slightly protected from the sun if you wished, my husband's option or down below was completely enclosed but a great view nonetheless. If you only do one water thing while in the LowCountry, I enthusiastically endorse a trip on the Carolina Belle!

Boat Ride

Okay if you want a boat ride out and back with some information read off a script. They do a couple trivia questions for a snack bar treat. There was some lull time and we had to stand most of the trip. All of the deck seating was taken so several people had to stand. There was inside seating but windows pretty dirty to see out of and if you tend to get motion sick better to be outside.

Good Tours but might reconsider not buying Combo
Sat, Mar 29  3:30 PM PattyW23 Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
The tours included in the combo were great individually. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to re-schedule several times because we had pre-purchased. It was not clear that the Carriage Tour needed to be reserved in advance. When we called to check the times, we we told to come at 11:00 a.m. the next day. When we arrived we were not on the list and had to re-schedule with little time available. Although we did get all the tours done, it was hectic. Because we had purchased in advance we wanted to get them all in. One in our party ended up not being able to go on one part and was out the money. For her it probably cost more in the end. Companies were all good about the rescheduling. Combo not a good idea if you have limited time.

Great weekend afterall!
Sat, Mar 29  3:30 PM RuthDennis Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
We were in Charleston for the weekend and expected thunderstorms. God changed that for us to sun and a wonderful carriage ride with only a little spritzy rain on Sally and DeeDee, the horses and our great driver, Jenny. Such a closeup view of historical Charleston with great background details to learn. The Harbor tour was awesome as the sun broke through and the wind picked up. We rode among the diving dolphins, the sailboat race, passed the historical forts and landmarks, watched the three-masted schooner sailing nearby(my next harbor ride), passed the Yorktown and Patriot's Park, and enjoyed watching the huge roll roll carrier ship that came into port during our cruise ready for more BMW's to roll on board to go to Europe from Greer,SC. the cool finale was when the Captain blew the loudest horn directly under the suspension bridge and we could hear it echo over and over! Great job narrating, Captains!

My girlfriend and I booked a tri-combo trip through zerve. We had an awesome time in Charleston. So much to do. So much history. It is such a beautiful place. Zerve was super easy to use and it was very easy to book my tickets. I will always use them if possible.

The harbor tour was great! The Captain was loaded with historical facts, and was very entertaining. The guide for the house tour at the plantation was enthusiastic and interesting. Enjoyed both very much, well worth the price.
