i really enjoyed the Harbor Tour and Boone Hall Plantation Tour, must see for all visitors to Charleston. I recommend that you do the tours early in the day during the summer before it gets too hot.

An easy way to book sites I planned to visit

The harbor tour was well narrated by the ship captain, and onboard staff were friendly and helpful. Good for an overview of the history of the area. Boone Hall Plantation was enjoyable and presented a lot of history for an all inclusive fee. I appreciated that I did not have to pay extra to see the house or to take a "bus" tour of the grounds. The brick slave quarters were well restored and the audio/video presentation in each cabin was interesting.

The tour was wonderful! Full of history and little factoids about Charleston. The crew was very friendly, nice and informative. Even better, free parking!

I'm new to the area so this trip was well worth the money. It was very relaxing and I would go on another for the ride!

Loved the carriage ride, harbour ride was fun

My Son and I took this trip together and we both agreed that the carriage ride was the better of the two. Our guide Rebel (girl) was so informative and delightful. The horse named Chief was gentle and gave us a good ride. I will go again with my husband and hope to get the same girl. There are about 5 different routes that can be taken and they are done on a lottery style system. We toured the oldest part of the city and it was full of history. Next I would love to tour the battery. We liked the harbour tour also but felt that for us the carriage was the best. I would definately recommend both tours!

Great Harbor Tour, but missed the Carriage Tour.

I wish I could have printed out the vouchers at the time I paid online. I never got time to go over to the Carriage House to get the voucher, and then go back when I could schedule the tour. Plus I had to find it first. I only had a limited amount of time as I was at a conference. So I didn't get to do both tours.

tour guide was loud and wrong on the facts. I would have preferred a more knowledgeable and less noisy guide. boat tour was pretty boring; not much to see.

My friend and I truly enjoyed this tour. It was a wonderful opportunity to see Charleston from a new perspective. We were not always sure exactly what we were seeing. Even so, everything was delightful!

Boat ride was nice, but narration was a bit dry

I found the tour to be a bit dry, but then I'm not real into history. I think I was expecting to be closer to the shore and better able to see some of the buildings that were pointed out. I also think I was looking for something less educational and more comedic, like Duck Boat tours I've taken in other cities. The ride was enjoyable though and quite relaxing.

Interesting and informative

The harbor cruise was very relaxing and the friendly staff was ready to provide any information on the historic sites. The Olde Town Carriage Company, however, has very limited operating hours (would you believe they stop at 4pm!) so I could not take the carriage tour with them. However, when the Palmetto carriage tour company heard that I was leaving town the next day and could not take the carriage tour, they accomodated me on their mule-drawn carriage tour from the Red Barn, which was excellent!

Harbor tour was nice, beautiful views of Charleston skyline. Informative guide. Boone Hall Plantation...the Avenue of Oaks is breathtaking. The rest of the grounds and home are ok. The house is actually the 4th structure to be on property and it was built in 1930's so not really a period "plantation " home which was a disappointment. Staff friendly and informative. Combo is definitely cost effective.
