Combo ticket was a great value! We planned ahead and knew what we wanted to do so it was good having our tickets in hand already. We did not spend our time looking around for where to go and what to do. Spent more time enjoying Charleston!

A Great overview of Charleston

This tour provides a visitor to Charleston a great overview of the city - from land and sea. I strongly recommend it for first time visitors ( and even returnees). Both tours are relaxing and informative .

I've lived here my entire life and never been on the cruise. Now that i've been I hope to go again in the near future. I learned a lot of facts that I didn't know even as a local. Great.

Very historic

If you're looking for a detailed and historic narrative of Charleston, this is a good place to get it. Plus the view around the harbor is decent. I thought the quality of the sound system aboard the Carolina Belle was very good. Very easy to hear, which is important if you want to pay attention to the historical aspect and not as much on the visual experience.

We first did the Harbor tour with Captain Dan at the helm. He was very informative and did not hesitate to answer any questions we had. He even played a little trivia with us; it was fun and we learned quite a bit in the process. Then came the carriage ride. Our guide/driver was simply amazing! We did not catch his name, ( although I'm sure that he told us ), but I do know that he was born and bred in Charleston and had a degree in history. He was pointing out things that I'm absolutely sure other less well educated guides would not have even been aware of - let alone mentioned. I know that some other tours we have been on stay strictly to the time limit but there was no sense of urgency on his part. It was a terrific learning experience and one that we will not soon forget. In my opinion, Harbor tours is absolutely the best and after the experience we had with these folks we would not even consider another tour company; We will definitely be back!

This was a very unique way for my wife and me to celebrate Independence Day! The BBQ was great, the music by the Shrimp City Slim Band was fantastic. The harbor tour was relaxed, and then exciting as the captain placed the Carolina Belle in the perfect spot to view the fireworks. We also enjoyed meeting the other passengers, many of whom plan to return next year, as we do.

Quite worthwhile.

Our day started with a bit of confusion. As we were taking a carriage ride first (at 10:30 am), I followed the instructions you provided and went to the marina first to get our vouchers (at about 10:00 am). But there was no one at your office at the mariana at that time. We were told that no one would be at the marina office until sometime after 10:30 am. We then got on the telephone, went to your office on Bay Street and got our vouchers, and then went on to our carriage ride. I would suggest that you change your instructions for future visitors. But despite the rough start, our day was fine. The carriage ride was good, and the boat ride was excellent. This yankee never new that your harbor in Charleston was so big! Now I know why everyone fought for it for centuries.

Cruise: The cruise was very nice and the captain was entertaining. The history lesson was quite informative and we learned a couple of things we didn't know. Plantation: The plantation tour was enlightening also. A side note, because the plantation cut off tours at 5:00 PM, it would have been nice to know what kind of time frame we we working with. We didn't get to do a couple of things (like the carriage tour) that we would have enjoyed. But all of the folks at the plantation were very nice.

Dissapointing Harbour Tour

We were very dissapointed in the Harbour Tour. We had hoped to see more of Charleston from the water viewpoint. I had been to Charleston before on a visit and was anxious to see it "from the other side" to show my wife the stunning beauty of the city. The first 10 minutes were great but then we went out to Fort Sumter and never really returned to the city itself. We are not American and although we appreciate the significance of the setting we felt far too much time was spent getting out there and coming back. When we returned it was to look at decomissioned ships, interesting but not a great visual treat. However my wife and I loved the Boone Plantation visit including trolley and house tours The staff and guides were quite charming and at times amusing. .It was wonderful to get a sense of the 250 year history of the site. All in all, we found that tour much more genuine and engaging.
