Tour was great - Crew friendly, narrator spoke very clear and precise, not to mention providing interesting tidbits of historic Charleston and the surrounding areas. Would recommend this tour to others. |

I always wanted to visit Charleston, S.C. Finally, I arrived in Charleston, S.C. on Thursday, April 2, 2009! It was pouring down rain all day. I rented a car and began my tour. First stop the Charleston Visitor Center, I was fascinated by all the history of this famous, quaint town, I collected maps and travel guides, insideof one of the travel guides was the advertisement for the Habor "Tour.
That evenning, I reached my childhood friend's home who had moved to the, Charleston area several years ago. However, because of her disabilities, she had not been able to do much touring of this beautiful area that she lives in. Her son takes her to an adult day care during the week and the weekend is spent living and doing with his family.
It was my pleasure and my treat to spend the weekend with my friend touring the Charleston area. The highlight of the weekend was the fabulous harbour tour! The weather was absolutly beautiful! The 3:30p.m. cruise on Friday, April 3, 2009, was delightful and amazing. The Captin and our tour guide on this wonderful adventure around the Charleston harbor was phenominal as he pointed out all the historical sites and landmarks!. The Captain's speaking voice was quite peculiar and capitvating in tone, his fasinating descriptions lulled me into a fantacy of how it was in Charleston during the 1800's. I took plenty of picutres that will tell the story of my adventure to Charleston, S. C., Gateway to the South, |

It had rained extensively on the day of the Harbor Tour, and when we arrived at the Plantation later that afternoon we were told most of the outdoor part of the Plantation tour was not active because of the wet weather. We had to leave town the next AM so were not able to tour the plantation portion. |

The harbor tour was well narrated by the ship captain, and onboard staff were friendly and helpful. Good for an overview of the history of the area.
Boone Hall Plantation was enjoyable and presented a lot of history for an all inclusive fee. I appreciated that I did not have to pay extra to see the house or to take a "bus" tour of the grounds. The brick slave quarters were well restored and the audio/video presentation in each cabin was interesting. |

This was our first visit to Charleston and we enjoyed both tours immensely! Our tour guides were very informative and we particularly liked carriage driver John's sense of humor as well as his knowledge as we rode throughout the city. We highly recommend both of these tours because they're very different and gave us a real "feel" for the beautiful city of Charleston. |

The weather was foggy, rainy and cool for the harbor tour -- however, the tour was good anyway. |

We rode the boat around Charleston harbor on a fairly chilly day but the crew on the boat made us feel like we were the most important tour group they had had all season. Although there were only 8 people on the tour we learned a great deal and saw everything we were supposed to see. I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about the history of Charleston and what activities occur in the harbor dealing with shipping and other topics. |

We thoroughly enjoyed the Harbor boat tour. The boat's captain was knowledgeable, entertaining and friendly. He continually added extra notes of interest, played a few games and safely returned us to shore. We will take this tour again should be return to Charleston. The plantation tour was very interesting and well presented. Seeing some American history was well worth the trip. |
