Dissapointing Harbour Tour

We were very dissapointed in the Harbour Tour. We had hoped to see more of Charleston from the water viewpoint. I had been to Charleston before on a visit and was anxious to see it "from the other side" to show my wife the stunning beauty of the city. The first 10 minutes were great but then we went out to Fort Sumter and never really returned to the city itself. We are not American and although we appreciate the significance of the setting we felt far too much time was spent getting out there and coming back. When we returned it was to look at decomissioned ships, interesting but not a great visual treat. However my wife and I loved the Boone Plantation visit including trolley and house tours The staff and guides were quite charming and at times amusing. .It was wonderful to get a sense of the 250 year history of the site. All in all, we found that tour much more genuine and engaging.

Boone Plantation was fascinating - especially the Gullah program. The program in the plantation house was an example of first class historical interpretation. The Harbor Tour was equally entertaining and enjoyable.

The Harbor Tour & Carriage Ride as a combo are a good way to get an overview of the city of Charleston's history and beauty. Both tour guides were very knowledgable and made efforts to include the participants

Harbor & Carriage Tours are Tops, Boone Hall Not

The Harbor Tour and Palemetto Carriage Rides were extremely comfortable, informative and enjoyable. They were both conducted at a leisurely pace. Zerve ticketing process was as easy and convenient as can be. Boone Hall Plantation was a disappointment in that the house dates only from 1932 and their take on their slave history seemed insensitive and defensive.

The Tri-Combo tour was easy and convenient. With three different vouchers, we were able to participate in all activities at the times that worked for us. Even though we had scheduled the harbor tour for the afternoon, we were told we could go at any of the times on the schedule, and we did change it with no problem. I'm sure this depends on the season and how busy it is. As far as the price, this tour did save a few dollars, but I think we could have saved money also with senior discounts and coupons. This was just an easy way to do it all at a fair price. If you aren't sure that you will be able to go to all three activities, this probably isn't for you, as there are no refunds.

We took our daughter for her 9th birthday. She had a blast! Visiting Charleston is one of her fav things to do. She was completely in love with Boone Hall and the different things there to learn. She loves the carriage rides each time we visit. We have not taken our boat tour yet, but are looking forward to it!

Great Tours - Informative and Worth While

Carriage ride was good, but being in the back seat, sometimes it was difficult to hear the narration, especially when trucks were close by and passing. A battery-powered speaker/mic combo might have helped. The harbor tour was very well done - interesting and well presented.

Make this part of your trip to Charleston!!

My best friend and I just went on the Charleston Harbor Tour on our weekend trip to Charleston. It was so much fun and we agreed it was our favorite part of the whole trip. It was a beautiful day, so we sat up top in the sun. If you do this, make sure you wear sunscreen! Also I recommend getting there early so that you can stand in line and get a good seat up front. The captain is very funny and entertaining, and you definitely get your money's worth during the 1-1/2 hour tour. It's a great opportunity to see a lot of different landmarks in a short amount of time. We saw forts, beaches, lighthouses, and bottle nose dolphins, among several other things. There is a snack bar on board, so you can grab a drink or snack if you need a refreshment. A photographer also takes a picture of your party prior to the cruise and you can buy it afterwards for $5. Ours turned out really well so we bought it. The seats are slightly uncomfortable, that's my only complaint, but the experience makes up for it. I definitely recommend making this a part of your trip to Charleston. I am so happy we did this!

Tour would have been more pleasant with a few fewer people. There were folks wandering around, complaining about not having seats.

Reasonably Priced

The cost of the harbor tour was reasonably priced. The weather was beautiful on the day of our afternoon tour. The seating on the stern of the boat did not provide the best of views. The tour guide talked about what was in front of the vessel, so our views of the described sights were delayed. We could not actually see what was being described. I would recommend getting to the boat early and getting a seat on the bow of the boat. I am sure they had a much better experience.

Enjoyed all the tours especially the harbor tour. Each tour had knowledgeable guides about the history of Charleston. I would definately use them if I get a chance to visit again.
