Charleston Harbor Tours

It's great to have your tickets in advance in order to avoid lines and sometimes confusion. This method is easy to use! Pay close attention to the information you will need to have with you in order to pick up your vouchers.

Wonderful way to save and explore Charleston. Great combination of land and sea. We enjoyed both tours and the price was outstanding!

We had bought tickets a few days ahead, but did not realize that we needed to line up actually out on the dock so early. As a result, although we planned ahead, and arrived 15 mins. early as suggested, we had less than desirable seating available. Having to sit down below and on the left side of the boat offered poor views of what the comentary pointed out.. Get in line plenty early to be on the top deck , or at least the right hand side of the boat downstairs. If the boat could plan a route that gave both sides an opportunity to be the 'best side" for part of the trip, it would be better.

Our group enjoyed this tour because we got to see Charleston from a different view--we have done walking tours and group tours in the past, but enjoyed this one especially because of the view on the boat. The carriage tour was nice as well, but we already knew most of the information that we were told. We thought that the boat tour was a nice way to see the battery and Fort Sumter without having to walk, which was a nice break.

The harbor tour and carriage ride provide a scenic and historic over view of the city. It was relaxing and entertaining. Everyone was polite and helpful. The tour guides were informative and humorous. It was a treat not to be gouged on the boat for refreshements (prices were very reasonable). The length of each tour was just right. We did the boat tour, had lunch, and then took the carriage ride. From the carriage we saw places we wanted to walk to. I'm glad we chose it.

Would have liked to have been given a choice as to what part of the city that the carriage ride would include. Weather was sunny, but on the chilly side (not the tour's fault), some points of interest were difficult to see from one side of the buggy, not called to our attention early enough, might want to consider a senior citizen discount, the boat ride was again on the cool side, interesting to see things from the water, after seeing from land, good idea to combine both tours, the narrator on the boat was knowledgeabe and informative.

Even though I have visited the Charleston many times, I have never really seen the area from the two activities that I just did. The harbor cruise was very informative and scenic to see Charleston from the water. The carriage ride was also very informative and gave me a sense of direction to pursue further interests in the history of Charleston.

My husband and I treated two friends to the blues and bbq cruise on Saturday, 2/13/10. We were very disappointed. The bartender did not have the drinks that we ordered and then mixed the wrong drinks on two seperate occassions. The food was just ok and not that special. Seating was cramped. Considering that the cruise was only for 2 hours the band took a 30 minute break so that they could eat. Couldn't they have done this after the cruise? Anyway, enough said. Would not pay that kind of money again.

We had an absolutely wonderful time on the Blues and BBQ Cruise. The BBQ was delicious, we really loved the chicken and thought the coleslaw was the best we have had in a long time! The Blues music was out of sight! Juke Joint Johnny Band was phenomenal. Juke Joint Johnny performed some of the best harmonica playing I have ever heard and seen. Also the bass guitarist, with his old timey microphone, was awesome! We can't wait to come back in April for some more Blues and BBQ! Keep me on the email list, if you have one! Theresa

We liked the music and food, but we could barely hear the music on the lower deck. In order to hear the music, we had to stand out in the cold because the seats were all taken. The music should be piped into the lower deck.

it seemed a little catered toward older people. Food was good though.

We enjoyed the Harbor Tour very much. It was relaxing and very informative.

Enjoyed the boat tour greatly - even got a sunburn in October! The narration was most interesting. The carriage ride was too crowded - four crammed together in a seat. We would not take it again.

The ride on the "Carolina Belle" was a great adventure into the harbor. The Belle captain and the crew were knowledgable and friendly. The information provided from them helped us understand the old Charleston history. The carridge ride was just as informative and fun. The tour guide was knowledgable and handled the carridge very well. A must do when in town.
