Charleston Harbor Tours

We enjoyed our carriage ride and harbor tour. The seating on the top of the boat could be a little better as you couldn't always see what the captain was talking about. The folks at the harbor tour were very nice and called to inform us that the 1:30pm tour we were scheduled for had a lot of teen group and they allowed us to switch to the later trip.

We did very much enjoy both the harbor tour and carriage ride. Staff were helpful and professional. We really felt they cared about their city and connected with visitors.

The commentary was simplistic and he tried unsuccessfully to be a comedian. All our other Charlestown tours had ineresting thoughtful guides who left us with a very good understanding of the history, culture and economics of the area.

Even though the sun had set but the time we sailed, the cruise, food and music were all wonderful.

The boat captain and carriage driver were very informative, knew their material well and kept the groups engaged. Both were great fun and well orchestrated!

Going to Charleston was decided on a whim. We had such a great time there and we started it off with a carriage ride the afternoon we arrived. That started of a love affair with this city. They did a great job with pointing out all the wonders of Charleston. The next day was the Charleston Belle, great crew and lots of fun and even more information. The last event and moving was the Boone Planation. Slave alley was a moving emotional experience. I have told my friends all about it and look forward to coming back real soon.

We did the combo Charleston Harbor/Carriage ride Tour and loved it. This was our first visit to Charleston and this was a great way to see the city and learn about the history of the area.

Both tours were entertaining and informative. Highly recommended!

and learn a little history along the way

We wanted to do both activities so it made sense to buy them together and save $$. The harbor tour was very informative and enjoyable. Boone Hall was my favorite thing we did in Charleston - lots to do there!

Very informative captain on harbor tour - spoke slowly and gave interesting details. No made up stories. Carraige ride great; however "Rebel" spent alot of time talking to Fred the mule and promoting her own and her husband's books. She could have given more informative rather than "cute" stories.

Id reccomend it to anyone.

We really enjoyed our tour of the Charleston Harbor-Reasonable cost,great overview of the area's history.We had perfect weather,might not be so enjoyable in questionable conditions ...the enclosed cabin could get a bit crowded if all were inside. Include tis tour in your plans!

The combo ticket is a great deal and both the Harbor Tour and the Carriage Ride were very enjoyable. The guides were knowledgeable and utilized humor in their presentation of historical facts which made it very interesting. The one thing that would be nice is to know ahead of time what route the carriage ride has been assigned as you may not always get the route you thought you would. The Palmetto Carriage Ride is a family run business and they were extremely nice and have a great routine down pat to minimize waiting!
