Charleston Harbor Tours

We really enjoyed the harbor tour. We were able to see places up close and see the city from a different prospective.

The murder mystery cruise was amazing!! My friends and I had sooooo much fun. I recommend dressing up and really getting into it... It will make it that much more entertaining. The actors on the boat were phenomenal. From the minute we walked up they were in character and setting the scene. I recommend the "Planters Punch" drink or the "Champagne Punch"! Both were awesome. Go with the mindset of having a great time, and getting into the ambiance of it all. I think if you don't, you won't enjoy it as much as we did. Highly recommended!! Loved it!!

This was a good time, but I would not recommend it for children. This is more PG-13 rated due to the content. I am not sure I would have taken my children. We took our 18 year old son and at times, I found myself a little embarrassed due to the comments; plus people were drinking and we all know that leads to other embarrassing moments. Content aside, it was a good way to do a mystery game. In the future, if they would like to try to involve families then it needs to be a little more family-oriented.

We went on both the Harbor Cruise and the Carriage Ride. Both were excellent. Our son got a little seasick on the cruise and the entire crew all stopped by to check on him during the trip, wow!!! The carriage ride was fun, the guide was a local and a history major and gave some great facts about Charleston. We highly recommend both.

The tour was fun even in rainy weather! The Captain was witty & knew his information! enjoyable ride!

While the city history is interesting, the tour guide makes or breaks the tour. Ours was good.

Had a wonderful time! Food was soooo good. Workers on boat were friendly and professional. Band created a wonderful relaxing atmosphere.

I enjoyed meeting and interacting with all the principal actors...MS Dixie, and Ms Savannah, Andrew, and The Senator. If the actors would have wireless microphones on, then all the attendees would be able to hear well, if the speakers were staged appropriately. As it was, unless you were right upon the "SCENE", you could not hear.

When we made our reservation online before leaving town for Charleston, we were under the impression there would be dinner included (another couple we met on the boat had the same impression). There was no food - not even snacks - just cocktails. At the start of the show, they asked everyone to do their own investigative work, and that there were notecards downstairs to mark down who you thought the murderer was; this was never mentioned again. At the end of the night the murderer was revealed, and everyone filed off the boat. A fun evening, but not what we were expecting.

Harbour tour was good, informative and easy to get too. Really enjoyed the carraige tour. Tickets were easy to pick up and had no troubles at all.

Very informative and a good narrative of the local history relating to the harbor, as well as the city. Only criticism is that we were seated on the lower level near the back of the boat and the windows were very dirty. This made for an obstructed view on a full boat, as well as made it difficult to take quality photos unless you moved around to various locations.

My best friend and I came to Charleston to celebrate our 30th birthday year and booked these tours as part of the experience. The carriage ride was interesting and informative though you do not get to pick what part of the city you want to see. It is determined at random. That was the only slightly disappointing feature of the experience, but we drew the south battery area and had an extremely friendly guide. The harbor tour was just as wonderful. The boat provided both upper and lower seating, so you could choose to be in the sun or out. Please keep in mind that if you choose the upper deck, you need to wear sunscreen, there is not shade and we both were burnt by the end of the day. Our guide on this tour was both friendly and funny and asked trivia questions but fun fact for kids and adults alike, providing free snack bar food as the prize. I recommend both these experiences highly to anyone visiting downtown Charleston area. You won't regret the experience.

We enjoyed the tours very much. Having the parking included in both tours made my husbands day!
