My mother (who is handicapped) and I went on the combo tour. It was fantastic. It was fun, relaxing and informative. Everyone was uber friendly and helpful. It is difficult for my mother getting around in a wheelchair and the staff of both places made it extremely easy for not only her but me. The staff at the Palmetto Carriage was our favorite. |

I went with a group of 10 friends while visiting Charleston. We had a great time! The captain kept things fun, and shared so much local information. Very pleasant. |

I feel the combo ticket is a good value. After a slow start (the first boat we boarded had motor troubles) we started with the harbor tour. Enjoyed the sights although I felt the spiel given by the captain of the boat was not very good. Enjoyed the carriage ride very much. This was due primarily to the tour guide Ben. He was very knowledgable of the area and historic facts. In addition he delivered the facts mixed with humor. Ben made the tour. The Boone plantation is a must see. Very beautiful. |

We were originally scheduled to leave on our harbour tour at 11:30 a.m. The boat had mechanical issues and we were not able to go. Received money back with no problem. On day 2, we rescheduled the harbour tour, but was not given the "combo" price. The gentleman working the counter was not the friendliest person I've ever encountered. We went ahead and booked the harbour tour at the regular price, and enjoyed the 9:30 a.m. tour which was much less crowded and pleasant.
The Boone Hall plantation tour was AWESOME. Very friendly and knowledge tour guides. Be sure to take in the Geechee presentation. This was the 3rd time I've been to Boone Hall and had never seen this. I'm sorry, that I had never done this before. |

The Charleston Harbor Tour and the Carriage Ride were both a lot of fun, and a lot of historical facts were presented during both tours...the tour guides presented all the information in a very interesting manner, and we just simply had a great time.....I would highly recommend both of these activities to anyone visiting the Charleston area... |

The boat tour was great.... provided some commedy during the tour. I recommend travellers take this tour early in their stay in SC as they provide a great deal of history plus suggest places to see including the free sites, etc. If I did it again I would take notes. We did get to see dalphins first from a distance... then looking over the side of the boat they were right up close in the wake the boat was making.
During the house tour at the plantation, my sister got ill.... we had to take her outside and cut our tour short. We think it was the strong smell from the flowers in the house and other tourists perfumes. We did drive around the plantation and took some pictures (weren't sure if we were allowed to do this, but it allowed her to see this as she really was interested in the plantation).
I would recommend this tour...
Thanks for making it affordable. |

We considered another tour and called them with questions, got the answering machine, left our number and they called back 8 HOURS later!! In the meantime we booked with Zerve and mistakenly sent the email address for the etickets with one digit wrong. They promply called to let us know they couldn't send the tickets because it bounced back. Gave them the correct email and received the tickets. When we arrived everyone was so helpful. Took the harbor cruise one day and the carriage ride the next day. They were both awesome!! Both trips were relaxing and informative. We wanted to go back and take both trips again and we probably will someday. We all highly recommend these tours! |

We enjoyed both the Harbor Tour and Boone Hall Plantation. The check in was quick, parking was free. The guide on the Harbor tour kept us informed the whole time. The Boone Hall Plantation is a must see place. They provide several different options included in the same price. You can ride an open air vehicle around the plantation grounds. The house tour had a spokeswoman who was very knowledgeable about the history. The slave cabins had recorded information as well as exhibits in each. Great value for the money, highly recommend. |

My husband and I have traveled all over the world, but decided on Charleston (had never been there) for our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We did all the "tourist" attractions. The Harbor Tour was entertaining as well as educational. The Captain can be thanked for that. We just had a delightful time, and we plan on going back someday. We will take the Harbor Tour again. |

The Harbor Tour was very well run, easy to be on and packed full of interesting information. The boat ride itself was comfortable and all safety measures were taken. It was informative, detailed, fun and interesting. The guide was funny and you could tell he loved what he did.
The Carriage Tour was great! You go directly to the barn, in downtown Charleston, where the animals are cared for to start and end the tour. The animals are very well cared for and the 'barn' is really clean. You can walk around and pet the animals if you like. The carriage itself was clean and well maintained. The ride was smooth and comfortable. Our guide was full of great information and could answer any questions we may have had beyond his excellent commentary. You see Charleston in a comfortable, close up, well paced way and hear interesting stories with lots of interesting facts. Our guide obviously loved what he does as well and was informative, fun and pleasant.
Very highly recommend both the harbor and carriage tours!! |

I would definitely recommend going on the carriage ride with Palmetto Tours and the Harbor tour combo. Smooth transaction, great fun on both activities, as well as great learning experiences. Would attend again for sure. |
