The food was fabulous, the blues were smokin, and the boat ride was pleasant. The only downside was the weather that forced us to go up the Cooper and not the Ashley so we missed seeing the Battery and the Marina. Probably a good choice though since the open water would have been pretty rough. We'll do it again next year! |

This was our first trip to Charleston and we wanted to get an overview of the city. It was raining all day Sunday when we woke up. By afternoon it stopped raining. It was about 1 in the afternoon. We decided to make reservations for the 3:30 harbor tour. We gave all the information. We got in the car and on the way there, I received a telephone call from the people at harbor tour saying the 3:30 tour was cancelled due to the weather. Why wasn't I told that when we made the reservations. We were leaving the next day to return home. We had to go on the 11:30 tour on Monday. We wanted to be on the road for home by that time. It just upset us that we were not told Sunday that the tour was cancelled. I don't know what would have happened if our plans were to leave at 9:30 on Monday morning. |

Both tours were equally impressive. The guide on the carriage tour was very familiar with the city and had lots of interesting information to share. Our six year old became a little bored after about 40 minutes, but our 12 and 14 year old enjoyed it as much as we did. The harbor tour was great. We are able to move around the boat as we pleased, which was nice, considering it was about 90 plus degrees out. We saw several dolphins and were very entertained by the guide. Highly reccommended. |

I would recommend this tour.
You could see may historical points of interest from the boat. Afterwards we could decide on some of the other tours we thought would be of interest to us.
I was happy I had brought my binoculars. |

My family member has some physcial handicaps and the Harbor Tour along with the Carriage Tour were SO accomodating!!!!! This made her visit to Charleston one she will always remember and recommend to others...along with me!!! She did not feel set apart; but part of the tours....:)
The tours and their guides were very well spoken and articulated the information very well...good speaker/speaker systems.
All around "perfect" day!!!
Thank you! |

The weather was foggy, rainy and cool for the harbor tour -- however, the tour was good anyway. |

We loved both the carriage and boat tours because we learned so much about Charleston!! Sean, our carriage guide, and the boat's captain were both exceptional. |

Time constraints prevented us from touring all three venues on the same day. We were allowed to do the plantation tour the following day. Personnel were pleasant and provided a lot of historical information about each venue. We were disappointed that we could not see more than a few rooms at the plantation house. We would have like to have seen the entire house. |

We enjoyed the carriage tour but were disappointed we were only permitted in one zone. I know we missed many things we would have liked to see. The harbor tour was relaxing but not really much to see. The planation; however, was absolutely beautiful. We loved walking around. We did note that the tram driver, the house tour guide and the gullah performer all provided similar information but at times they contradicted each other. |

Excellent trip to take if you're only in Charleston for a short time. The 90 minute tour from the harbor offers you up-close photo opportunities of Charleston's famous and historic sites. Indoor/outdoor seeting is available and Captain Mike does a great job narrating the history of the area. |
