Great Tour

Really enjoyed the harbor tour. A little disappointed with Boone Hall. You only get to see about three rooms, but it was well worth it. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Heavenly

I truly enjoyed the Charleston Harbor Tour. It was magical. The Captain was very knowledgeable of the history, the area, and apparently what we would most love to see. He had a sense of humor as he reiterated the history of the harbor and the importance of the waterways from Blackbeard the Pirate, through the Civil War era, to current times. I think the trivia questions gave an added touch to the tour, which allowed the Captain to interact with the tourist in a special way. I appreciated that. I would most certainly recommend this tour to all visitors, and I highly recommend this particular tour company.

Overall good experience

The good: Beautiful scenery - including many dolphins! Fort Sumter is neat, getting to see the battery and the rest of the "Holy City" from afar was awesome! The tour guide/captain had trivia questions during the boat ride which made it interesting. The staff members on the boat were courteous and friendly. The bad: Sit on the right side of the boat - and try to get to the pier a lot earlier than the designated time. We arrived 15 minutes prior as the ZERVE site said to and we were at the back of the line. The ugly: We ended up having to stand for almost the ENTIRE boat tour. They do not have enough chairs for all participants - which is the main thing I was disappointed in - especially after walking around Charleston for hours before the boat tour. : ( It seems they try to fill to absolute max capacity which makes moving about the boat difficult, to say the least. Wear your sunblock and sunglasses - a tight fitting hat, too! :) Your camera is a must for this tour.

Marriage was proposed.

My heart sister and her boyfriend visited my in Charleston and we decided to take a harbor tour. Her boyfriend, two days prior to the trip, enlisted my help for a marriage proposal on the boat. The Captain of the tour, when informed, suggested the wheelhouse was an appropriate place for the occasion. The romance of the harbor's history and the beauty of the water must have been irresistible, because she said "Yes!" Kimberly Klemm

Carriage ride was great, Harbor tour not so much

We did the carriage tour first that morning. It is a bonus that they offer free parking at the marina. The ship itself is horrible. We have taken other tours so we had something to compare it to. This ship has deck seating on either end, but it is not covered. You could easily get sunburned sitting there for an hour. The enclosed space on the lower level was entirely too hot. They had a few fans blowing but you were only cool if you stood under the vents. There is also not enough seating in the enclosed area. It is just not a comfortable ride for 90 minutes. Choose another tour company for the harbor. The carriage ride was really nice and the tour guide was excellent. If you do book this tour, make sure you get a time for the carriage ride when booking. Once we arrived at the big red barn, we had to wait almost an hour for some available seating.

Charleston tour boat

First off try getting inside the boat. My wife and I thought we could see better on the top deck but the noise of the waves and the other tourist talking made the captian's comments inaudible. I guess if you were only there for the day this would be a good shotgun tour. It is better just to get out and explore Charleston on foot. And it is free.

My husband and I recently enjoyed a wonderful CharlestonHarbor & Boone Hall Plantation Tour!! We would highly recommend these experiences to anyone interested in learningabout and seeing the Charleston area. The tours were reasonably priced and fun to do. We thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing tour of the harbor, the humor and kindness of the crew. The planatation was intereting to see - the tour guides were informative and knowledgeable. We would and will recommend this to anyone we know planning a trip to this beautiful historic city.

Best organized way to see Charleston

We were a group of 5 adult siblings who travel together one weekend each year to different locations in the United States. We found the Tri-Combo Tour to be an extremely efficient and organized way to tour Charleston. We took the harbor tour one morning and toured Boone Plantation after lunch in town that day. The following morning we took the carriage tour, and then spent the afternoon at the market, art studios, and on the battery. We found that having everything planned and the tickets bought before we started our Charleston visit, helped us to stay focused and make the best use of our time. We are very pleased with our tour arrangements from Zerve.

Wow. What a phenomenal experience!!! Blues, BBQ and beautiful views from the boat. It was all top notch. This cruise delivered a terrific anniversary experience for my wife and I. We'll be joining you again the next time we are in Charleston. Thanks to all who worked this cruise.

I was a little queasy because water is not my favorite place to be. The captain gave me tips to quell the nausea and the lady at the snack bar directed me to a bench in the shade, by the bathroom, and gave me free refills on ginger ale. The captin inquired about my comfort as I was leaving the boat. The captain's narrative was factual but with humor interspersed for a little break , which kept the cruise from seeming to be a study to take a history test. The prices at the snack bar were reasonable. My husband and I were celebrating his birthday and we were extremely happy that everything was about as perfect as a birthday could be.

Our Captain was very informant about what there was to see around the Harbor. Got some great pictures which could only be taken from a boat. When you go to Charleston I recommend that you take this tour. Very relaxing.

We recently purchased the Harbor Tour and Plantation Tour combination. We enjoyed the Harbor Tour a great deal and would recommend it highly. However, the Boone Plantation was a big let-down and waste of money. You only tour 3 rooms of a house that was built in 1936 and very little is done in the way of active growing on what is advertised as a working Plantation. The only bright spot on this tour was the presentation by Gullah Joe about the Gullah culture and language development. His presentation was informative and entertaining.

We learned a lot of history in both tours and enjoyed seeing the beauty of Charleston. The Harbor Tour allowed for many photo opportunities and the staff was very pleasant. The Boone Hall plantation was gorgeous and provided a glimpse of what life was like 2-300 years ago. The tour guides knew their history.
