Captain Craig was a superb Tour Guide who has a vast knowledge of Charleston history dating back to the 1700's. The boat ride was smooth and the harbor breeze cool. The Boone Hall Plantation provides a wide variety of venues that include a very exciting and educational trek around the plantation on a motorized open air trolley. Brother Bob provides an in depth review of the Gullah people and their contributions to the monetary wealth of Charleston and is very eloquent in his delivery. The Slave narratives were both riveting and best of all, honest and truthful. As a Tour Director with Queen City Tours and Travel for nearly 20 years I was thoroughly impressed and will be back with future groups. My only suggestion is that folks that have purchased tickets in advance should be allowed to enter the Harbor Tour first. You can also read my extended review coming up in Trend Magazine Online which is dedicated to Travel and Leisure activities. |

My husband and I just moved to the Charleston area from New York State and would like to see as many of the sights as possible. This was the best way to get familiar with the area. We went on this cruise with a friend who has lived here for several years but never had the opportunity to go on this cruise. We all enjoyed it tremendously. It was a very enjoyable, relaxing and informative afternoon. |

The thing that helped me to decide which boat tour to take was the optional covered deck. It didn't dissappoint has it was nice and airconditioned. It's a cute tour. I'll do it again. |

The boat tour was great.... provided some commedy during the tour. I recommend travellers take this tour early in their stay in SC as they provide a great deal of history plus suggest places to see including the free sites, etc. If I did it again I would take notes. We did get to see dalphins first from a distance... then looking over the side of the boat they were right up close in the wake the boat was making.
During the house tour at the plantation, my sister got ill.... we had to take her outside and cut our tour short. We think it was the strong smell from the flowers in the house and other tourists perfumes. We did drive around the plantation and took some pictures (weren't sure if we were allowed to do this, but it allowed her to see this as she really was interested in the plantation).
I would recommend this tour...
Thanks for making it affordable. |

We enjoyed both the Harbor Tour and Boone Hall Plantation. The check in was quick, parking was free. The guide on the Harbor tour kept us informed the whole time. The Boone Hall Plantation is a must see place. They provide several different options included in the same price. You can ride an open air vehicle around the plantation grounds. The house tour had a spokeswoman who was very knowledgeable about the history. The slave cabins had recorded information as well as exhibits in each. Great value for the money, highly recommend. |

My husband and I have traveled all over the world, but decided on Charleston (had never been there) for our 45th Wedding Anniversary. We did all the "tourist" attractions. The Harbor Tour was entertaining as well as educational. The Captain can be thanked for that. We just had a delightful time, and we plan on going back someday. We will take the Harbor Tour again. |

I would definitely recommend going on the carriage ride with Palmetto Tours and the Harbor tour combo. Smooth transaction, great fun on both activities, as well as great learning experiences. Would attend again for sure. |

We were very dissapointed in the Harbour Tour. We had hoped to see more of Charleston from the water viewpoint. I had been to Charleston before on a visit and was anxious to see it "from the other side" to show my wife the stunning beauty of the city.
The first 10 minutes were great but then we went out to Fort Sumter and never really returned to the city itself. We are not American and although we appreciate the significance of the setting we felt far too much time was spent getting out there and coming back. When we returned it was to look at decomissioned ships, interesting but not a great visual treat.
However my wife and I loved the Boone Plantation visit including trolley and house tours The staff and guides were quite charming and at times amusing. .It was wonderful to get a sense of the 250 year history of the site.
All in all, we found that tour much more genuine and engaging. |

Boone Plantation was fascinating - especially the Gullah program. The program in the plantation house was an example of first class historical interpretation. The Harbor Tour was equally entertaining and enjoyable. |

We really enjoyed the Tri-Combo Tour. It was by far the best value in price. The Harbor Tour was interesting and the Captain had a great sense of humor. We had a beautiful day for it too, which was the icing on the cake. The carriage tour was informative and gave us a great tour of the downtown historic area--our tour guide also was a funny guy and interacted well with his passengers. It was great that we were able to do the carriage ride and plantation tour at other times than the harbor tour. It gave us the flexiblity we needed. We enjoyed our afternoon at Boone Plantation. Lots of history there, very well explained and easy to go at your own pace. Our favorite was the theatrical Gullah-Geechee presentation which was extremely well done. We'd recommend the Tri-Combo Tour to anyone! |

Came down during stay in Myrtle Beach with grandson (adult) to tour. We thoroughly enjoyed both parts of the tour (carriage ride and harbor tour) and had good weather for the trip. Next time we'd like to include the plantation, but would need to be when it was DST to enjoy all parts. |
