Harbor and Plantation tours

The harbor tour was fun and informative. We learned a lot about Charleston and
the bay, we also saw dolphins quite often. The plantation tour was excellent
also, it was interesting to see the architecture and learn of the living styles back
in the earlier centuries. My wife and I both enjoyed the convenience of the tours
and the price was well worth it. We both highly recommend the tours. |

To be able to see an historic city from two perspectives painted a much more complete picture than either one could individually. Both tours followed a planned route, I am sure were traveled 100s of times before. In spite of this, both tour guides where still very interesting and informative.
Of the two, the carriage ride was more fun. The reason (I believe) was because the group was much smaller and the guide spoke directly to us and could interact with us. On the harbor tour, the guide spoke through a PA system, although I understand why.
We had perfect weather for both tours, which made them easier to enjoy. A day that is warm and sunny with low humidity and calm winds (what we had) is ideal. Check the weather forecast before you book.
Booking both tours at the same time saves you a few dollars per ticket. We did the harbor tour first. The tour company provided a voucher for the carriage tour. This permitted us plenty of time to take a nice leisurely lunch break in between in a restaurant within walking distance of both tours.
The carriage tour office is located in an historic part of town with narrow streets and little obvious available parking to a non-local. A bonus with the carriage tour included free parking (in a private lot) with enough time afterward to do some shopping.
My family has vacationed in North Myrtle Beach for the past 20 years. Every year we talked about seeing Charleston. Now that we finally have, I am so sorry we waited so long. It is a beautiful city full of very nice people. We had a wonderful time. |

It was a nice tour although I booked this tour by mistake, when I was planning to book the sailing tour. It was noce the combination with the Boone plantation. It was a nice discount. |

Tour was excellent. Need to supply directions as to where you can park a car. Tour guide gave great explanations and was very entertaining. Also need better signage directing passengers to boat. |

The Harbor Tour and carriage ride tour were both very enjoyable. It was fun to see the historic homes in Charleston and learn some of the history of the town. The tours were reasonably priced and we would both recommend either one to anyone who would like to sit back and relax and learn a little about Charleston. |

Really enjoyed these tours! I liked all three of them. The Harbor Tour is a nice time in the waters of the bay, the Plantation tour- Boone Hills Plantation was beautiful scenes and full of amazing history! But my favorite was the Carriage tour- Lots of interesting facts about the City and its heritage, beautiful architecture dating way back and our tour guide,Rebel, was awesome!
Looking frwds to doing these again soon and would definitely recommend these tours. |

What can I say, THE highlight of our trip to Charleston. 90 minutes of a boat ride, listening to local history, the occasional glimpse of a dolphin or two. Fun all around! |

All three tours were informative, worthwhile, excellent activity for the money. Staff at all three locations were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. If I could make one very minor change, I would add a means to get to Boone Planation for those tourists who did not have a car. |

There were five of us(1 child, 2young adults and 2middle aged. We expected a tour guide providing information regarding landmarks and places on interest in the harbor but, received no info on this "tour". The food was not good and the entertainment was marginal. I would never recommend it, unless you're only interested in buying and drinking the alcohol, then of course, after a few drinks everything is "great" |

The Carriage tour was the best tour we have ever been on. The Guide, Tom, was the very best and knowledgeable ever. |

Going on this tour during the week seems to be the best option as it was not as crowded on a Wednesday. Get there early so you can get a seat at the front of the boat and see what the Capt is seeing/talking about at the same time. Personally I would have liked to have gotten a little closer to the land marks but as the Capt said, the size of the boat prevents that. Other than that we enjoyed the tour & had a good time.
After the tour you can buy a picture that they take before you get on the boat for $10 |

Great value when you include the free parking. Was dissatisfied in the fact that the website said the carriage tour would take us into certain sections of the city when in fact the city of Charleston controls the route a specific carriage takes. So we did not get to see the street we thought we would see. Harbor cruise was interesting. |
