| As a local of Richmond for the past eight years, I had heard the ghost stories, but hadn't visited the sites. The tour was a nice mix of history , sightseeing, and stories. It's a fast pace though, so if you can't walk a good 1/2 mile at a steady pace, choose an alternate tour. Fun activity for pre-teen and teenagers as well. |

| We booked the ghost tour as everyone in our wedding party had gone on line and checked out "activities in Richmond" the ghost tour came up tops and our wedding party were very impressed and not dissapointed with the tour. We booked the tour for Saturday night as we were getting married on the sunday.....(I will explain why I've put that bit of info in later). Our tour guide was fantastic (and I am sorry I cant remember his name) he started to explain all the stories at Poe's and really got into his story telling part right from the start, he captivated us with all the tales of Poe's and it was brilliant. Anyway as he took us around town and explained everything that went on in times of old and you never felt left out or something was missing and when he did his rendition of the Shockoe train tunnel collapse...well I have never seen so many people hugging each other as they were gripped in both fear and joy at the whole rendition, you could feel the hairs on the back of your kneck stand up!! . This tour is well worth going on and I recommend it. Right I did mention the Poe's stories...... well we got married in Poe's garden on the Sunday and some of the wedding Photo's show some of the wedding party stairing into various corners of the garden looking for " the children playing " ......need I say anymore! |

| $14 was WAY too much for the Haunted Shockoe (richmond, va) tour. Just down the road is a Holocaust museum, which is free, and might I add, absolutely amazing. I could have walked around the downtown ghetto for free if I wanted to. |

| This was an overall entertaining night and cost seemed appropriate. It was not "hokie" and the guide provided good history on the sites we toured. Guide was friendly and pleasant. The only wishes were there was more information on the "ghosts" themselves and not so much of the stories of people who had the experience Also ,some of the areas we walked through were not safe. The company has not control over that, but wonder if there are better areas of Richmond to do this. |

| It was very interesting to learn about the local places that have had 'certain' things happen at their establishment. Our tour guide was informative and had a great sense of humor. Although the tour lasted two hours we technically only talked about and visited 5 places so I wish we could have learned about more places in that area. Most interesting was getting close to the area of the Church Hill Train -Tunnel cave in- that was the spookiest because it was by an abandoned building. One or two cameras 'decided' to have dead batteries at that point. There was also only one mention of a confederate type ghost. Odd seeing as how Richmond was the capital of the confederacy. Once again, wish we could have covered more ground.
Great for all ages, my son is seven and he was excited. Walk was good, not too strenuous. I would definately take other family members again. We were one of the only local people, most others were from the north. Looking forward to downloading the pictures we took! |
