| The Shadows of Shocking walking tour is a must! We had a perfect evening and a great ghost guide that put up with a large group of jokesters. She told us in detail a lot of stories of ghosts as well as more ghost stories in buildings we didn't get walk to.
I have recommended this to so many people and am so glad I did it! |

| Its not scary at all but we enjoyed it. If you are a history buff this if for you. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Had a 10 yr old with us and she thought it was "very cool" My only suggestion would be for the guides to wear some sort of microphone because with all the outside noise, cars, etc..it was sometimes hard to hear. Overall would recommend. |

| It was a geat way to see some Haunts in Richmond. Our tour guide was the most upbeat person I have ever seen, you could tell she LOVED what she did. So Marcia, Thank you. My only regret was that there wasn't more on the tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys a bit of history or who wants an idea for a first date. Great time! |

| The tour was very interesting but sometimes hard to here because of all the traffic. The tour guide was very well informed but walked very fast and started her stories before the entire group were all present. I was using a cane and had an extremely hard time keeping up with her. |

| I thought the tour was very interesting. I loved the history of the buildings and events that make them haunted. It would have been even better if we could have gone into the buildings. I would like to go again, when it isnt raining. |

| Me and my new wife were in VA on our honeymoon. We had been to williamsburg and been on one of there ghost tours (LAME). Because it was so lame, we looked at doing another one from another company down there when we stumbbled accross this tour on the interent. It was everything we could have hopped for. Basically, it was a tour of REAL stories of REAL people, in REAL places that acctually took place in down town Richmond. The guide really new his stuff. He wasn't trying to convince us or scare us with the stories, he just told it like it was. I really enjoyed this tour and would recomend it to anyone who wants hear about actual ghost stories and real events that happened, but never get mentioned in the history books. |

| It was evident that the tour guide was a novice and needed extensive coaching and guidance on how to conduct a ghost tour. However, she demonstrated a great deal of effort duirng the tour and tried to create a historical context for the guests. With additional practive and guidence, her skills could improve. Perhaps the guide would benefit from lessons from a drama coach who understands how to portray a sense of the occult.
In other words, not scary, rather boring..... |

| This tour was a huge disappointment. The stories were brief and convoluted, most of the tour involved walking in silence, and the sites were unimpressive. I wish that I had known more about the tour in advance. I brought my friend to celebrate her birthday, and we were very disappointed. |

| The stories and knowledge of the tour guide were great. More interaction by entering and experiencing haunted places is what I would like, instead of just hearing about these places.
Most people learn best by experience (kinesthetic). Next best by seeing. Least by hearing. Combining all three is ideal. Something to keep in mind.
Also, I think the information on orbs in photographs was misleading. It is fun to experience mysterious phenomena, but keep a logical, scientific perspective. Check out what Grant from TAPS (Ghost Hunters) says about orbs. |

| The Poe Museum is the perfect spooky start for a tour of Richmond's haunted favorites.
We had a small group on a cool October evening. By the time we left the Poe courtyard, I was afraid to look up, down or behind me.
Our guide was friendly, well-spoken and obviously knew a lot about the area and its history. The tour was completely captivating and the walk was easy.
I highly recommend this ghost walk and would do it again myself. |
