| Good ghost stories, but not very scary. I would love to actually be able to go inside buildings at some point. Being outside is very distracting because the traffic is loud and there are people walking to bars in Shockhoe Bottom, so it's hard to hear. Guide was very knowledgable. | ||||||

| A group of my friends and I (nine of us in all) went on this tour. None of us had been before and we were all excited about going. As advertised on the website we were expecting to visit 10 places in all. By the end of the tour we had only been taken to 6 places...7 if you count the building where we met and the last minute attempt to get us to spend more money to go through the haunted house with the possibility of seeing "Mary" a ghost that has been sited through the haunted house. Our tour guide was not very ethusiastic and some of her stories seemed a bit "hokie" to say the least. I even caught myself spacing out and not paying attention to most of the stories because she wasn't very entertaining or excited about the tour herself. We spent $16.50 per person plus the service charges and tax and it was quite a disappointment. I would definately NOT recommend this to anyone else unless you are wanting to throw away your money on a tour that is extremely boring and not as advertised. The tour itself was supposed to take 75-90 minutes. We left 15 minutes late at 7:45 instead of 7:30 and were completely done by 8:30...so it only took 45 minutes. Not a single member of my group enjoyed the tour and we were all very disappointed. We briefly chatted with some of the other individuals attending the tour and they agreed that it was not as advertised and a waste of money. I cannot in good faith recommend this tour to anyone. | ||||||

| THIS WAS A GREAT OUTING. THE GUIDE WAS VERY THOROUGH IN HER DETAILS ON THE EVENTS AND TALES OF EACH PLACE WE WENT TO. IT WAS VERY INTERESTING TO SEE THE ACTUAL BUILDINGS AND HEAR THE STORIES, ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY ARE RIGHT HERE IN OUR LOCAL AREA. | ||||||

| We had a great time walking and learning haunted history of the area. Before the tour we were standing outside in the garden, just looking up at the buildings. On top of one of them we saw a large bird when his head turned we were surprised to see it was an owl. What a way to begin a haunted tour. we would reccommend this tour to anyone with visitors or family. We would like to take a day-time tour now of the area! | ||||||

| Enjoyed the historic information about Richmond. I am from NJ and stationed with the Army in VA. So much history and interesting stories. Also, the Terror on 18th haunted house was great. Really enjoyed understanding the different scenarios based on the walking tour stories. The walking tour started off a little slow, but then gained interest very quickly. Suggestion: Go to the tunnel entrance of Churchill Station. Gain access to a haunted area. | ||||||

| I didn't think it was scary (I don't scare easily) but I had a good time. I liked hearing the stories. It is a great thing to do with friends/spouses etc. It certainly is hard to be scared when you can't actually go into the places being discussed................it would be fun if you could go into the Poe's museum..........in the dark. Maybe, there is a way you could make that possible. | ||||||

| The Shadows of Shockhoe Walking Ghost Tour was informative and fun. You can really learn some creepy Richmond history. Although the tour is informative, it is also somewhat scary, but younger children could also enjoy this activity. The tour brings new meaning to the words "Things that go bump in the night." | ||||||

| We did both the walk and the house. The walk was OK. she only told us 4 stories, I was expecting us to tour more places. We only hit 3 bldgs. To me that was a waste of money. I also thought that the group was to big. Smaller groups would be great. The haunted house same way we had 9 people in the walk through. We were triping over everyone, The house wasn't scary, very confusing, I think it could of been done a little different. I'm not sure if I will go back next year. I spent alot of money. To me it wasn't worth it. Thanks | ||||||

| I thought the tour was interesting and something different to do, however, I think it lacked some sort of flair or element of excitement. I was expecting a little more in the way of stories, maybe more drama. The on-line description mentioned the Theatre fire and we didn't hear anything about that. One of our members doesn't believe in ghosts so it was probably just a boring walk for them. I think the idea is good, just needs something to make more of an impact. Thanks. | ||||||
