| My wife and I took the tour for Halloween night just for fun. We are from Virginia, but from the opposite end of the state and just happened to be in town that night. Had a great time, the tour is very informational as well as "spooky" in sort of a non-threatening way. Marcia our guide was very good spirited and friendly, did a great job although I could do with a bit less humor and a bit more ghostly history. Still worth recommending, especially for the price. Hope to visit again! | ||||||

| You gave lousy directions to a place that wasn't marked good enough to see at night. I'm not from the Richmond area so I don't know right off the bat where everything is. Drove in circles to find the meeting point and ended up missing the start time. Would of liked to of gone but wasn't able to find it. Fix your directions page, that 4 blocks on the right crap isn't good enough. | ||||||

| We live in Richmond and took our out of town married children on the tour. Everyone enjoyed it very much. My husband saw something in one of the windows and we all were fascinated and learned a lot. The guide was excellent. The stories were familiar to us having studied Richmond history and taken many tours but the guide presented the info in a new and exciting way. We were very pleased that this was a serious lecture and had nothing todo with Halloween or spook house type of stories. I would recommend this to anyone with an interest in the paranormal and think it could help start an interest in those with an open mind. Our group consisted of 2 60 year old adluts with our 29 year old daughter and her husband. I'm sure we will do it again with friends we have been telling about our experience. | ||||||

| We certainly enjoyed aspect of this tour. Our guide was gracious and told us that if our little girl couldn't finish the tour and got cranky we could come back the next night with the same tickets. That was very nice. We especially liked the stop at the old train tunnel and the story connected with that. It seemed like the most "haunted" spot and no one would find it, much less know the story behind it, without something like this tour to direct them. Our one disappointment was that our guide was not the best storyteller. The historical aspect of the tour was well done, but when it got to the actual story behind the building/location, it seemed a little disjoint and anti-climatic at times. All in all, we got to see parts of Richmond that we would otherwise have not seen, learned more about the history, but thought that the suspense and excitement of the stories during the tour could have been presented better. | ||||||

It was okay.

| The tour was "okay." It could have been better. The tour guide/story teller, although very historically informative, did not present the stories with a scary undertone. I guess it was because of the atmosphere (traffic and drunkards). It would have been really nice if she told the same stories inside of the buildings of which they are associated with, as well as change the tone in her voice to "build" the story. That would have been a bit more interesting and spooky. I would only recommend this tour for its historical rhetoric. | ||||||

| The Walking Tour around the Shockoe Bottom area was fascinating and very well done. It's a history lesson of sorts with a "spooky" twist. Suitable for all ages but small children might get restless. | ||||||

| My husband and i are from North Carolina and wanted something fun and different to do, i searched the internet for ghost tours and i found haunts of richmond. Although extremely hot that night i enjoyed every minute of the tour, our guide was very personable and very knowledgeable on the tour. | I had a great time and learned a lot. I would actually have liked to have gone to more places. Also, being able to go into some of the locations would have been wonderful. I understand that this would incure a higher cost, but I would willingly pay more. An over night would be awesome too! I believe there is a local "Ghost Hunters" type group, maybe a collaboration? Our guide was very knowledgable and very friendly, he did an excellent job, I particularly enjoyed his "acting" at the train tunnel collapse, very entertaining. My daughter and her best friend, who accompanied me on the tour, also had an excellent time. Keep up the great work! | ||||||

| I thoroughly enjoyed the Shadows of Shockoe Walking Ghost Tour. I liked learning about the different historical sites in the Shockoe area of Richmond. It was not only educational, but very entertaining as well. I found the ghost stories quite interesting, and they added just enough creepiness to my Halloween evening. Thanks so much for such a neat experience. | ||||||

| The ghost walk guide was terrific! She knew her ghost stories as well as her history of the buildings and area. She gave the tour with a sense of humor and kept the evening fun and exciting. The 75 minute tour was well worth the $15! Wear comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting muddy because some of the tour goes off road! | ||||||

| The tour was interesting but the tour guide was AWFUL. REALLY AWFUL. She was a young college kid who stammered around what she wanted to say, her story telling was AWFUL. She was a snore, her presentation was AWFUL. The tour could have been so much more fun if she had any sort of energy about it. She was just awakard and uncomfortable about it all. Which is a shame because the places that we went to were really interesting and could have been so much better. | ||||||

A bit letdown

| Not scary at all. Pretty lame. The chick that gave us the tour was knowledgable, but gave little else to the experience. We left glad we did nt have to hear her speak anymore. It sounded like the stories were mostly bogus. It was not worth 15 bucks to walk through the rough part of the city and hear about how maybe there was a ghost in here once. Would not recommend this to anyone I know. | ||||||

| Having previously been on the tour, I was a little disappointed with our guide. She wanted to talk more about the history of everyting rather than give the story behind each place. She also left out quite a few places/stories that were on the last tour. Overall, I felt like I was attending a lecture on the history of Richmond...not a ghost tour. | ||||||
