| You gave lousy directions to a place that wasn't marked good enough to see at night. I'm not from the Richmond area so I don't know right off the bat where everything is. Drove in circles to find the meeting point and ended up missing the start time. Would of liked to of gone but wasn't able to find it. Fix your directions page, that 4 blocks on the right crap isn't good enough. | ||||||

Waste of time

| Although our tour guide was mediocre, the tour itself was a waste of time. When we arrived, they could not get the door open to the Stone House and we had to walk into the back courtyard through the back garbage entrance past six, overflowing cans. We saw nothing on the whole trip, we were not allowed to go into any of the buildings (although most of them were public) so we overpaid $15 to hear about 3 ghost stories. I would have thought they may have used even the most primitive special effects or something to try and scare us a bit, but we saw nothing but cars and boredom. The tour guide said that she usually takes people to the Church Hill Tunnel, but that there was too much water. She then said that 75% of the tunnel is filled with water at all times, so one of those was not truthful. We could have saved ourselves an evening and just googled Richmond. | ||||||

| The walking tour was a lot of fun! It was very interesting because you were able to learn a little more about the history of downtown Richmond as well as the ghosts that haunt the buildings. If I could change anything would be to have smaller groups, but it would have been fun with 100 people. Of course, the added entertainment from people going out on a Saturday night was funny as well. | ||||||

| I really enjoyed the stories I didn't realize the history of the train tracks in church hill... One of the friends in my group is a history major and she was expecting not accurate history of Richmond but she was highly impressed with the accuracy of the tour. I do wish that there could have been more on the tour but I understand time restraints and the location of everything. I was a little disappointed that we could not see the gardens and couldn't go upstairs in the house I think that would have made the stories a little bit more "fun" sense we would have been upstairs while they were being told to us. | ||||||

| We went early for parking. No where to set to wait. Tour was good but the walk (pace) was way too fast. Wear comfortable shoes. They should open 1 hr early. | ||||||

| It was a long walk but very good excercise (can bring drink but no alcohol). Number one story is about a train inside the tunnel....that still bothering me since that night of that tour. Other stories by different location but right in the area from the start of the tour. | ||||||

| Overall my wife and I enjoyed the tour. It was a lot of walking, but on a nice night in Shockoe Bottom, it wasn't a big deal. The tour guide was very knowledgable about the history of the stories he told and was a good speaker. The tour was not very scary but if you enjoy the history of the stories and the old buildings than the tour is enjoyable. The other guests on the tour were the worst part. About half the other guests joked about the tour guide and the tour for most of the time. If the mocking guests were removed I would vote the tour with 5 stars. | ||||||

| It was a geat way to see some Haunts in Richmond. Our tour guide was the most upbeat person I have ever seen, you could tell she LOVED what she did. So Marcia, Thank you. My only regret was that there wasn't more on the tour. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys a bit of history or who wants an idea for a first date. Great time! | ||||||

| Marcia was our tour guide, She kept us entertained throughout the entire tour. I would recomend that people wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking for 90 mins or more. My overall experience; however, is that I enjoyed the walk and learning some history of Richmond. | ||||||

| We did both the walk and the house. The walk was OK. she only told us 4 stories, I was expecting us to tour more places. We only hit 3 bldgs. To me that was a waste of money. I also thought that the group was to big. Smaller groups would be great. The haunted house same way we had 9 people in the walk through. We were triping over everyone, The house wasn't scary, very confusing, I think it could of been done a little different. I'm not sure if I will go back next year. I spent alot of money. To me it wasn't worth it. Thanks | ||||||

| We did glean a little bit of information that seemed somewhat authentic, but the general feeling of our experience was boredom, and there was really very little walking. Our cheerful tour guide rambled on with some general sounding legends, some of which were told in a vacant parking lot which was well lit but had no significance whatsoever. We actually saw a few of the really significant sites (like the site of the tunnel collapse, the outside of the Edgar Allan Poe House, and from a faaarrr distance, the roof of Monumental Church). We got to imagine some of the most exciting and creepy places (like Hollywood Cemetery, the haunted Governors Mansion, and Monumental Church that was the site of the great theater fire of 1811, and St. John's Church Cemetery which was only mentioned). If one is up for a walk, I believe that at least three of these sites are within walking distance. Rather than feeling up close and personal with the creepy side of our Capitol City, we left thinking that we had just heard a lot of rumors, many of which didn't seem to have much of a basis and didn't have the feeling of authenticity that one would like to share with others. All in all, if you can't put me in close proximity to what is being talked about (that would be a tour) and present the material with at least a hint of conviction, then don't bother to mention it. I believe the tour has a lot of potential but needs a lot of improvement. | ||||||

| I thought it was very boring. They walked you around Richmond and told ghost stories. They didn't even take you close to the location. | ||||||
