Activity Description
Enjoy Island Boat Lines' eco-tour of Cocoa Beach's 1,000 Islands on Florida's Space Coast. This 2 hour eco-tour in search of wildlife will give you the opportunity to see herds of manatees, flocks of birds, and playful dolphin.

  • The Thousand Islands are a flood tide delta deposit, formed in the past by a breach in the barrier island by a strong storm surge. This natural occurrence created a maze of narrow trails & canals through the natural mangrove islands and hidden hammocks.
  • The spectacular canals through the 1000 Islands provide shelter to herds of manatee, playful bottlenose dolphin and a variety of coastal birds.
  • Some of the birds passengers may observe while on this tour are reddish egret, wood stork, rosette spoonbill, brown and white pelican, nesting osprey, great blue heron feeding their young ,tri-colored , great snowy egrets, white ibises, brown headed nuthatch, Bachman’s sparrow, red-cockaded woodpecker, terns & coots.
  • The Indian River Lagoon flows into the Cocoa Beach 1,000 Islands. The Indian River Lagoon Estuary is known as one of the worlds most diverse eco-systems.
  • Banana River Marina -This historic landmark is a nostalgic way to begin this adventure. The marina original owner will lift his private draw bridge so we can begin our journey.
  • Parade of Homes - You will also be able to see how the locals live who have taken up residence along the Thousand Islands' canals.
Enjoy moving about the boat throughout the cruise. The Captain and Crew will provide narration and answer any questions you may have along your journey. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!
