An evening out for boat ride and dinner

A long way from home. The boat had engine troubles, no doubt a disease of boats nationally has spread from cruise lines to river boats. Food was fine. Guests were given a free cruise and food with limitations. My limitation is I live in NYS and may not be able to comply with terms. In reality, I am old enough and ugly enough to weather a bit of setbacks. The owner very pleasant. Mechanical things happen. I think the offer reasonable from the business standpoint. It cost a lot of money to keep a boat afloat. A bit of bad luck. The several crew aboard were friendly - even memorable in their good nature. I think I will chaulk up the mishap as just that and remember it for what it was - a nice evening out close to shore among a loverly bunch of people, both crew and guests. |

Beth was a well informed guide. She provided a wealth of information about the flora and fauna we encountered on the ride. Capt. Mike was very helpful to her to take us up close to the sights. |

My Husband and I took the Friday Night Dinner Cruise to celebrate our One Year Anniversary. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The cruise was very relaxed with beautiful views on the river. Dinner was delicious and the dinning area was so lovely. The view on the boat was breathtaking! I recomend that visitors and locals experience this wonderful piece of what Brevard has to offer! |

Cruise was very nice. Crew was was helpful and service was excellent. Captain Penny is a very nice and friendly lady.
Evening was rather cool, but food was hot and very tasty.
We would recommend this to anyone, but hopefully the weather would be a little warmer. The band was a lot of fun. |

Captain Mike and Bob were very knowledgeable and good at spotting the wildlife, and giving us information about everything we saw. We were the only four people on the pontoon boat - and so got very individualized attention. It was a fun two-hour tour. The area was also very nice, good beaches, restaurants, etc. |

I have done a number of tours like this in many places but I have never been on one that was so informative and where we got to see so much of the wild life! The operators, Sue and Sue, knew all the great spots to look for dolphins, manatees and birds and stopped so we could get a good look and actually even went back if one of us saw something so we could look! We had my three children with us and they were WONDERFUL with them! The boat was small and there were not a lot of people so it was intimate and you could talk with the operators. Kept my kids entertained and they learned a lot! I would definately recommend them again to anyone for a small, intimate boating experience! |

Of course they can't control the wildlife but we were able to see a couple of manatees. No dolphins. Otherwise, it was a relaxing tour that mostly showed homes along the shoreline while looking for wildlife. Tour guide and captain were very informative and generally entertaining. |

We enjoyed the Eco Boat Tour and were fortunate to see several Mantee, various species of birds and one dolphin during our excursion. While they can't guarantee you what you will see they did a good job of getting us as close as we could to whatever wildlife we saw and they had a very good knowledge of the wildlife in that area. |

Trip Date 23 Oct 2010. The ship left the dock just past 7PM and returned just past 9PM. It was a nice 2 hour diversion from reality. The ship was old, but it was clean, nicely maintained, and I was happy to see that kids were pretty safe. The food was very good, buffett style, and was served in the lower deck "dining room". Many folks took their plates of food to the upper decks to eat it there. There was a lot of food left over, so anyone could have seconds if they desired. The desert choices were between two great tasting cakes, with build-it-yourself toppings of whipped cream, nuts, cherries, etc. The music consisted of a small 3-piece band that played oldies but goodies. I especially liked the low audio level of the music, and the relatively low level of engine noise. There is a small dance area in front of the band. The paddle wheel added a fun visual trip into nostalgia. The bartenders, food serving crew, and deck hands all had beaming smiles, worked fast, and seemed to do their best to please everybody. I would have liked to have walked to the forward part of the upper deck, but that area was roped off about 15 feet aft of the wheelhouse, possibly due to the number of children on board. I also found it slightly odd to advertise (on-line) one price ($40) and then to sneakily add a $2 per ticket "sevice fee" during the online checkout process. I would have preferred the site to simply state the cost was $42, with no additional fees (with the exception of tipping). With the twenty people in our party, I would have expected a discount, instead of the additional $40 charge. That was the only negative part of the experience. The trip was nice and I would consider taking another dinner cruise on a "no-kids" night. (On this night, I think the only kids on board were the ones in our party, and they were well-behaved and usually closely watched by their parents.) As a precaution, one member of our party took two dramamine (anti-sea-sickness) pills before we left home, but it was probably unneccessary as the ship is very stable, with almost no discernable side-to-side motion while we cruised the wide Indian River. You might want to bring a light sweater, jacket, or windbreaker, as the light breeze on the upper decks at night might be cooler than you expected. A good time was had by everyone in our party. If you are buying memories, you won't go wrong here! Don't forget to bring your camera!

We enjoyed the trip from the moment we left the dock until our return 2 hours later. The personnel were knowledgeable, humorous and took time to make sure we all had a great view of the land, sea and the critters.
Would recommend to anyone and we will return again in the near future. Boats were very stable and moved
with ease and comfort for all. |
