Extremely knowlegeable and enthusiastic, Collette guided us through Chinatown, Little Italy, North Beach....all the while providing us with tidbits of San Francisco history. We have lived in the area for over 30 years and still learned a thing or two. Walking through very interesting parts of the City on a beautiful day, made for a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Though we have been to SF several times, this tour put the city in context like no other. We need to go back to follow up on all the great recommendations she gave us. Her passion for the city really shows through on the tour.

First 40 minutes spent in Chinatown going over history of city--we had just had a separate tour of Chinatown so were not happy to have a repetition. We went to 1 open coffee shop and had a drink; then walked to 2 other closed (!?) shops before going to one last open coffee shop for a small espresso dessert. I can't recommend this tour.

It's always better to explore somewhere on foot -- the Java Walk provides the enhancement of having a knowledgeable person lead you on the tour and share interesting history about the areas you're visiting. The pace and length of the tour were just right, and it inspired me to return to spend time in some of the stores and restaurants. I'd like to learn about similar tours in different parts of the city, too.

The Javawalk tour was great fun and very informative. My husband and I are from the East Bay and received the tickets from family members who had a last minute change of plans. I had no idea what to expect, but love coffee and was able to get a day off work. The coffee was great, but what surprised me was how much we learned about San Francisco's history. My husband's grandparents (and great grandparents) lived in the North Beach area and I love watching the history channel. We thought we knew most everything there was to know; however our guide Nicole's knowledge far surpassed our own. I highly recommend this tour for both visitors and locals.

We got way more than our money's worth. Nicole was smart, nice and well-prepared. All four of us loved her! We learned so much about San Francisco, as well as enjoying some great java in interesting cafes. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful experience! The tour was informative to a point that I wanted to read about North Beach and its legacy afterwards. The two cafes "Treiste" and "Greco" served excellent coffee. The ambience of both cafes were that of the 50's era. Collette's narration of the tour was eloquent and professional. Her knowledge of the area surprised me. I want to thank Javawalk for extending their courtesy even though I was the only participant for that day. Now that is service!
