| I highly recommend the Chassidic Daily Walking Tour to adults, children, teenagers...basically of all ages. I brought a group of teenagers and felt that the tour guides really spoke on their level and explained things to them in a clear way.
The girls loves the tour and would love to come back to discover more things about Crown Heights. The tour whets your appetite to want to learn more and keeps you thinking. It's insightful as well as fun and entertaining. The tour ended with a delicious meal at a restaurant which really ended our day in a classy and tasty way.
If you are looking for an informative and interesting and insightful way to be enlightened or enlighten others regarding Crown Heights, I would highly suggest you take this Chassidic Tour. |

| My background is Reform, so I wasn't exactly sure as to what to expect with the Hassidic movement. I was surprised cameras were allowed; but, also happy, as I used to be a photographer.
To have an Israeli assist me in putting on tefillin and praying the Shema was an experience I won't soon forget. Although, I had done this one other time in Israel at the Western Wall, the process was somewhat rushed. Omer (as I recall was the young man's name in Brooklyn), was extremely patient with me and helped me along the way..
I was also very interested and amazed in the restoration of Torah's. This is a very tedious, time consuming, and exact art. Everyone was extremely professional and friendly.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more of the Hassidic movement. You will be glad you did. Rabbis Epstein and Kaplan were very gracious to invite us in their daily lives. |

| This was a terrific experience. The Rabbi/ Tour Guide was comfortable, informal, very informative, and extremely easy to be/ talk with. The tour was immeasurably interesting, both for me, a Jew, and for my non-Jewish husband. Rather than feeling like unwelcome outsiders, we felt like honored and respected guests. We also were taken with how friendly the people on the streets were to us, when we had questions or needed directions after the tour.
It truly was one of the best experiences we have had in our numerous visits to New York, and we already have recommended it to several friends. We would like to take the tour again with friends. There was so much to see and learn, and we felt as if we had experienced only the tip of the iceberg. Highly recommended, and a great value. |

| I found the tour helpful in answering questions that I had about the Chassidic community and its beliefs and practices. Rabbi Epstein was very good at explanation and in leadership of the tour. He had a good sense of our needs quickly, made the tour enjoyable by adding a sense of humor when appropriate. It would have been valuable to talk more with others in the community. I would do this tour again. |

| The tour gave us much insight into the community. We were given an explanation on what makes this community unique, were able to watch morning prayers, a walk through the Chabad museum and headquarters, a trip to the Mikvah and a delicious lunch. Questions were patiently answered. |

| Our time with the Chassidic Discovery Center was outstanding and unique. With them we were able to access parts of an Chassidic community we would otherwise not be able to see, such as a Mikvah, the floor of synagogue during prayer services and a workshop that produces prayer accessories. Just walking thru the community would not have shown us any of those. Even more important was the personal time we spent with our guides, especially Rabbi Yisroel Ber Kaplan. We felt he, and the others we met with, were open about their beliefs and the life they lead. They were respectful, open and friendly and willing to answer any questions we asked. We left with a feeling they had made a personal gift of themselves in the time we spent together. It was an outstanding way to develop an appreciation for these deeply committed people making a life in a more complicated urban community. |

| This tour was the most interesting/educational/entertaining tour we have ever taken in the U.S. It was the highlight in a week of local activities/shows we planned. Our group was comprised of myself, my friend from out of town and my 15 year old son. The tour leaders were both Rabbis who had very entertaining personalities, answered all our questions, and gave a lot of interesting information. The tour was very interesting and we all learned a lot. |

| I stumbled upon a brochure for this event and thought it would be interesting. I had no idea just how interesting it would be! It's a great way to see the "inside" life of the Chassidic Jews. Both of the guides were very open about the life and enthusiastically answered all my many questions! It's not your every day "run of the mill" tour. If you want something different, interesting and informative, I highly recommend the tour. You won't be disappointed! |

| More of a talking and looking tour, our guide was an enthusiast, ever willing to answer our questions and go beyond the surface of the religious life we saw. |
