Informative and respectful.

My wife and I are Christians; we were welcomed and respected on the tour. We learned a great deal from the friendly and informative tour guides, and the up-close contact with this community has really deepened our awareness of their strengths and their needs. I was very glad to have the opportunity, and we'll be back urgently to share the experience with our grown-up kids. The walking tour does cover a good deal of ground, perhaps a mile including indoors and out; some stair climbing is necessary. I recommend dressing for the weather, and comfortable walking shoes.

My daughter - aged 18 - and myself chose to do the tour during our one week visit to New York. The tour was outstanding - we came away feeling as though we had a wonderful insight into the Chassidic way of life. The variety of places we visited were fascinating and the truly charming tour guides made us feel extremely welcome into their lives. I would highly recommend this tour and although we visited most of the popular tourist sites in New York this was definitely a highlight.

this was a great tour; my only reservation was that we spent the first hour of the 3 hours in basement room; although the Rabbi was very enlightening re Chassidic philosophy, I personally wanted to 'get out there' sooner!

A unique cultural experience

An insiders look at a sect of the Jewish world proved to be a terrific experience for our family. The Rabbi was great as the guide and gave many unusual details of the Chassidic life. One of the best walking tours we've done.

This is a great insider tour of Jewish Crown Heights. You are able to visit all types of places that you would not be able to see on your own. The guide is great and the tour a great value.

Enrichment on many levels

We gained insight on a cultural level, learing about the material culture, but also their philosophical and moral insights as well. The lunch provided was delicious. Very patient with children. Our family was very happy with the tour.

La verdad es un tour que me gusto mucho, fue mucho mas de lo que esperaba, las personas que nos dieron el tour fueron muy amables y atentas y siempre dispuestas a reponder todas nuestras preguntas.

A fascinating Experience

The experience truly opened my eyes into a community i'd heard so much about, and yet couldn't get myself to venture out there on my own. Having the opportunity to look into private realms (which are usually closed to the public) added to the experience. I felt very comfortable asking questions, or more detailed explanations, and I felt engaged during the entire length of the tour!

Interesting, enjoyable and fascinating

Both rabbis were extremely interesting and informative and willing to answer any questions on any topics. The tour itself was excellent and the lunch included was very good and the rabbi who accompanied us to the restaurant continued to discuss anything and everything and answer any questions we put to him. He was happy to remain with us as long as we wanted (which in our case was another 2 hours and could have been longer if we wished, but we all had other things to do!) We would strongly recommend this tour.
