This was a fascinating look at the life of Chassidic community. We had a lovely guide and her young son who showed us places most people outside the community would not get to see. Our group of 8 consisted of Jewish and non Jewish people. This was good too to understand different customs. We were free to take pictures, ask any questions and just to see how people live their lives here. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in the Jewish life and customs.

| We could have gone on for hours discussing all the many aspect of Chassidism.
The Rabbi was open, informative, congenial. A wonderful experience I think everyone should participate in to better understand the lifestyle of the Chassidic Jews. Their devotion to G-d is truly inspiring. Thank you for the experience. I will pass it on to my friends and hope to some day return.

This tour provided an exciting and educational view of a culture which had previously not welcomed outsiders or probing questions. I now understand the culture, its participants and the lure of the community. There are still some hard questions which remain unanswered.

Even though the guide was enthusiasitc and had good knowledge, the tour was limited to very few destinations. The website gives the impression that it is a 3 hour walking tour; whereas, the walking part does not exceed an hour. Also, the tour guide had a hidden agenda (i.e. make Lubavitchs look like a great group of people) and his main goal for the tour does not align with those of the visitors who would like to see Crown Heights in more detail.

Even though it was an extremely hot day, I really enjoyed the tour and hardly noticed the heat. There were many different and interesting stops on the tour. The guide was very friendly and informative and was more than willing to answer all of my questions. It was a great way to learn more about the Chassidic life.

The best part of our NY trip. We missed the tour on Wednesday and decided to stay in NY for an extra day just so that we could do the tour. The extra day in NY was worth every single penny. Rabbi Kaplan was amazing-he answered all 1000 questions that I asked! Got home and told the boss about the tour-He is planning a trip to NY next month just to go on the tour.

Don't be put off by the black hats and long beards. The two rabbis who led the tour were very personable and open, they were willing to answer any questions they were asked, and the tour took us to the heart of Lubavitch and really let us know how they tick. Only three of the nine on the tour were Jewish. The tour included a nice lunch. Very worthwhile.

The tour was very well conducted by Rabbi Epstein. He spoke in understandable terms and was most willing to answer questions, enabling us to learn about Chabad, its roots, its teachings, and its logic in dealing with everyday living. We are glad we chose to take this tour.
