| This is a schooner size boat, meaning that it is big enough to feel that you are on a big boat, and yet small enough to feel that you can see everything.
It is BYOB, so you can bring drinks and snacks and stay in one spot on the boat, if you wish.
Our trip was "lowlighted" by a group of four who had drunk their share of island drinks before the voyage. Loud!
The crew was excellent and well-humored. |

| We've been to Key West several times over the years and this is one of the best on water experiences we've had. These sailors are the real thing. The Jolly Rover II is as close to a real pirate ship as any tall masted vessel in the waters of Key West comes. These people are pros, with just enough theatrics to make it fun but not cheezy. The price couldn't be better. This is the real deal. BYOB and have fun. |

| I had booked this trip online before our trip. Communication with owner is absolutely wonderful. Boat launched on time and we had a great time. There was a mixture of people on the cruise from couples (us) to families with children. Everyone had the opportunity to help the crew with the sails or you could just sit back and relax and enjoy the view. Crew was very informative of the islands history/facts. We even got to see a dolphin. Sunset was absolutely incredible and the only way to properly see the sunset on the Keys.
I would recommend this cruise to everyone for several reasons:
*The price - why pay tons of money and have them provide food you don't like and alcohol that you don't drink when you can bring your own. They provide storage for your drinks and they also provide water.
*The staff - everyone was very friendly and concerned about everyone's safety.
*The boat ride - when you think of Key west - some people think - Duval and one big party - Key West has quite a bit of nautical history.
I could ramble on about why you should take this boat ride. In fact, when we got back to our B&B we spoke so highly of the trip that 2 other couples went on the trip the next night!

| The ride was fabulous. The price is excellent. The crew very hospitable. The view was excellent. I would highly recommend this ride. In retrospect, we might consider a boat that offers a dinner or food. Leaving at 6pm puts you right around dinner time. Other than that, this is a great attraction. By the way, dinner cruises are almost twice as much for the ticket price. So, keep that in mind. |

| We had a terrific time on this comfortable, beautiful ship. The captain and crew were nice and even let passengers help hoist the sails and steer the ship. They were also knowlegable about the area and some history. We highly recommend this wonderful excursion! |

| Captain and crew were very engaging and professional. Ship is beautiful. Wonderful time of day to sail (sunset). A whole lot of fun for all ages (crew dressed as pirates! and fired small portable "cannons"). Highly recommend! |

| This was a nice sailing trip with little or no evidence of sea sickness amongst it's passengers. The crew was nice and offered bottled water during the sail. There were, however, no cannons fired and no one (including the crew) dressed as pirates - which was a little disappointing. The sailing was nice and many pictures of the sunset were possible. Also, there was a coupon for $5 off per person located in a Key West brochure, but this looked like it was only available if you booked at the dock the day of the sail. If you sail a second time with them the cost is $25 and the third sail is free. Zerve should offer something similar.
One negative of our sail was that it appeared that some of the crew (4 total) were new to the ship and had to be instructed on how to hoist the sails, etc. I think that this was a little unnerving for some of the passengers. It didn't look to me like many (if any) passengers were tipping the crew upon departure.
If we were to visit Key West in the future, we would book this trip the day of departure if we wanted to take a evening sail. |
