It was a nice evening. The staff was very friendly....Will and Joe and the Captain all took good care of the passangers. I expected to go further out onto the water....further from shore. The sunset was nice, but not spectacular....no fault of the cruise. 2 hours from start to finish. Clean, well cared for boat.

We were a group of 11 for a 5oth birthday and we had a lovley time on the Jolly Rover. Those of us who wanted to pilot the ship were allowed by Captian Chris. If you enjoy the sea, ships and sunsets this is a must... enjoy

My fiance loves building model ships and so when we decided on Key West for our spring break destination, I wanted to do something special. I looked into sunset cruises on schooners and happened upon the Jolly Rover II. I booked it because of the price, and because we would have the option to bring our own beverages and food. As soon as we got onboard, I knew I had picked the best cruise option. The crew was fantastic, informative, and FUN! We shot cannon fire at the other schooners, assisted in raising the sails, and my fiance even got the chance to steer the ship! The ship was the perfect size, and the sunset was beautiful. I would absolutely recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a romantic date or even a fun small group outing. I LOVED IT and I know you will too!!

My husband and I just arrived in Key West to celebrate his 50th birthday -- and our only scheduled activity for the entire weekend was this Sunset Cruise on the Jolly II Rover. It was a perfect way to start our weekend! The schooner is beautiful and the crew was fantastic . Captain Ron shared a lot of information throughout the cruise -- and kept it low-key, fun, and very interesting! We really liked the fact it was BYO -- a definite 'price-performer' compared to other options. Plus we met some great folks on the ship! We enthusiastically recommend the Jolly Rover -- and we look forward to sailing with them again. Thanks to Captain Ron and his crew! :)

Highly recomend this sunset cruise if you are looking for lower cost $ 35 and a fantastic boat. The price is low because it is bring your own drinks ... water was included. Fun sail and great crew. GO !

Wonderful Sunset Cruise

1. Liked that it was a sailboat and not a powerboat, making for a peaceful cruise. 2. Liked that it was BYOB as not everyone wants to drink and the price savings for a group of 7 was significant. 3. Boat was in good shape, heads were spotless 4. Owner, captain and crew were freindly

Sunset Sailing Fun!

We brought a bottle of Champagne and some pretzels aboard as a snack prior to embarking. We enjoyed the sail on the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and photographing the magnificent sunset. The Captain invited everyone to take a turn at the helm. Steering the ketch was fun.

Best sail in Key West!

Very relaxing sail around Key West. Crew is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful!! My husband helped hoist the sails and everyone (we took our children ages 13 and 11) thought it was awesome. Beautiful view of KW and the sunset was amazing! This will be the one thing (there's so much to do in KW-you can't do it all in one trip) we will do again when we make it make to Key West!

Nice sailing trip to watch sunset.

This was a nice sailing trip with little or no evidence of sea sickness amongst it's passengers. The crew was nice and offered bottled water during the sail. There were, however, no cannons fired and no one (including the crew) dressed as pirates - which was a little disappointing. The sailing was nice and many pictures of the sunset were possible. Also, there was a coupon for $5 off per person located in a Key West brochure, but this looked like it was only available if you booked at the dock the day of the sail. If you sail a second time with them the cost is $25 and the third sail is free. Zerve should offer something similar. One negative of our sail was that it appeared that some of the crew (4 total) were new to the ship and had to be instructed on how to hoist the sails, etc. I think that this was a little unnerving for some of the passengers. It didn't look to me like many (if any) passengers were tipping the crew upon departure. If we were to visit Key West in the future, we would book this trip the day of departure if we wanted to take a evening sail.

Captain and crew were very engaging and professional. Ship is beautiful. Wonderful time of day to sail (sunset). A whole lot of fun for all ages (crew dressed as pirates! and fired small portable "cannons"). Highly recommend!

We had a terrific time on this comfortable, beautiful ship. The captain and crew were nice and even let passengers help hoist the sails and steer the ship. They were also knowlegable about the area and some history. We highly recommend this wonderful excursion!
