All 4 of us greatly enjoyed the sunset cruise. There were 2 in their 40s and 2 in their 70s so it is fun for all ages. The crew were very friendly and adept at setting the sails. It was fascinating to watch. 2 of us are from Pittsburgh Pa and 2 from Cape Coral, Fl. The actual trip (sailing) was delightful, and the sunset cooperated by being beautiful. We enjoyed the interaction with other boats. |

Its the best deal for the price. The crew is nice. The only thing I didn't like was the guilt trip of sticking the tip hat in front of you as you come of the boat. I didn't have any cash sorry. |

The weather was perfect, the wind was blowing and we were part of a group of 8! The Jolly II Rover is a great boat and the crew were helpful and knowledgeable of the waters as well as the boat. We were given the opportunity to take the helm and help raise the sails which makes it quite exciting. I would highly recommend it and hope to return again and again. |

This was our second cruise on the Jolly II Rover. Once again, the crew members were knowledgeable, fun and most accommodating. The water was a little less than calm but that made for a great ride once the sails were hoisted. We were fortunate enough to also have a gorgeous sunset. Our only complaint - there was no place on Zerve where we could apply for the discount offered to repeat customers so our evening cost us $50 more than it should have. Next time we will book directly through the Jolly II Rover. Do yourself a favor, skip the so-called "party boats" and experience a famous Key West sunset the way it was meant to be seen. |

Captain Rio and the crew were very accommodating and it was a pleasure to be aboard their boat. They shared local history of the area while sailing around and let us steer the boat and raise the sails! Also, they even had a cannon that were fired at "enemy" pirate boats sailing nearby. We were even requested by other sunset cruise ships to sail over and fire at them. They also tracked down a couple dolphins to watch during the sunset. I am going again when my fiancee and I return to get married. Totally recommend, you will not be disappointed. |

My husband and I went for a sunset sail on the Jolly II Rover and had a wonderful time. The crew was great - very nice and entertaining - and the sail was lovely. I would highly recommend this sail for anyone visiting Key West. |

The Jolly Rover was a wonderful sunset sail! The crew were
attentive, helpful & knowledgeable. At $39 it was a real bargain
too. Especially enjoyed bringing our own cooler with bevs &
snacks! The cannons are a lot of fun too. Great for couples or
families. Glad we found it. We'll be back! |

We loved the sail.....left right on time with small group.....captain and crew were wonderful: informative, responsive to questions, gracious, and fun. Able to bring aboard and enjoy a bottle of wine (cooler available to keep all drinks cold). Crew able to actually cut the engine and sail! Thankfully no canned music playing so could really enjoy the experience. A great option to the noisy "party boats". The sunset was simply spectacular, the captain positioned the ship for best views. This is the sunset sail to take! |

We did the sunset cruise. This is a relatively small boat. There were probably five couples on the cruise along with the crew of three. This is NOT a party barge, but a quiet intimate sail in a beautiful setting. If you want to help raise the sails, or steer you can under the tutelage and careful eye of the crew.. Sunset turned into a no show, but I don't think anyone on board was overly disappointed, the experience was that enjoyable.
They supply cold water, but you are free to bring libations or food on board.
The boat leaves the crowded harbor under engine power. Once clear the sails are raised. Ideally there is adequate wind to power the boat, if not then the engine is used to supplement. The peace and quiet with the sound of creaking rigging, and flapping sails helps to set the mood. |

This, our third trip on the Jolly Rover, was as memorable as first. The crew was fabulous, both professional and fun. They initiated conversation with all the passengers, took photos for us, encouraged passengers to assist with the sails. They provided coolers for our beverages and even put our food on ice several hours before we sailed. Unique with its red sails and the only sailing ship able to "attack" other sailing ships with their mini-cannons. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and the best way to see a Key West sunset. |
