Our Harbor Walk Food & Culture Walking Tour begins on Front Street at the Key West Bight. It is a 2.5 hour event comprised of tasty food samplings at 4 water view restaurants and 1 downtown restaurant accompanied by an insider’s vision of local culture, architecture and historical narratives.
Our celebrated Harbor Walk tour is a one mile stroll along the Gulf side of the island. Many salvagers, spongers, fishermen, and seagoing vessels were located here before highways and modern transportation linked Key West with the mainland.

What Is Not Included?
- Alcoholic beverages are not included, but you may purchase them for an additional fee at any of the restaurants.
- Tour guide gratuities, although not mandatory, are appreciated and are not included in the cost of your ticket.

- Is advance purchase required? Is cash accepted?
- Tickets must be purchased in advance, as space is limited per tour. To maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, please book well in advance. Cash is not accepted.
- If a food tour is sold out, is there a waiting list?
- We do not provide a waiting list. If a date and time is sold out, there is always a chance that we will add an additional tour on that day. Please click on the "Contact KWFoodTours" link to let us know what date you are interested in.
- What happens if it rains?
- The tours are held rain or shine! In the event of inclement weather, we will be inside of the restaurants on the tour. You should always dress appropriately for the day's weather conditions. In the extremely rare event that the tour has to be canceled (tropical storm), you will be able to reschedule to another time or receive a credit for a future event.
- What is the maximum number of people per tour?
- In order to provide an intimate, personalized experience, the tour is limited to 12 people per tour guide. Additional tour guides may be added to accommodate larger private groups.
- How much food is served on the tour? What sort of food will I be sampling?
- The tour presents 5 restaurants for tastings and for most people there is enough food that they feel pretty full by the end. The foods we sample feature Key West specialties, which may include seafood and meats, as well as sweet desserts. Keep in mind that restaurants may vary from tour to tour and may change without notice.
- What about dietary restrictions?
- Unfortunately, we are not able to make food substitutions for allergies or for vegetarians at this time. Although the tastings can vary, please expect this tour to include food tastings such as meat, seafood and shellfish, dairy, etc. In the future we do hope to be able to accommodate food allergies. Thank you for understanding.
- Are beverages provided?
- Water is always available on this tour. Note that Key West Food Tours does not provide alcohol, but you can purchase it on your own during the tour. Other beverages are also available for purchase.
- How much walking is included?
- Tours generally last 2.5 hours depending on the pace of our group, and we are on our feet for approximately 75% of the time. We walk about a 1 1/4 mile at a moderate pace, and most restaurants provide places to sit and eat.
- Can I bring children on the tour?
- Yes, children are welcome to join us. However, please consider whether your children will enjoy the tour and whether it is appropriate for them. Keep in mind that we will be discussing cultural history and we will be walking for much of the tour. Children ages 8 and younger may come on the tour free of charge, but we ask that you please notify us if you will be bringing any children ages 8 or younger upon purchasing your tickets. All other participants will require a full priced ticket.
- Is the tour wheelchair and baby stroller accessible?
- Yes, our tour routes and restaurants are wheelchair accessible and baby stroller friendly.
- Does the tour end at the same place we meet?
- No, the tour does not finish at the meeting location. The start and end points are approximately 4 blocks apart, and our tour guides will provide detailed directions for those interested in returning to the starting point.
- Do we just walk around and sample food?
- Absolutely not! Visitors learn the wonderful rich history of the island and hear about the many influences that shaped our culture. The tour is fully narrated by your guide, who will discuss history, culture and architecture.
- What restaurants do we visit on the tour?
- It's a surprise! We will visit a selection of 5 restaurants, but do keep in mind that the tour routes and thereby the exact restaurants we visit may vary from tour to tour.
- Are bathrooms available during the tour?
- Yes, restrooms are available during the tour.
- Is there parking near the tour's meeting point?
- There isn't readily accessible parking near the meeting point, but there is a parking lot approximately 2 blocks away near the ending point of the tour. Specific parking details are included in the meeting location directions after purchasing your tickets.
- Does this tour have anything to offer a native from Key West?
- Definitely! Many of our guests live right here in Key West. Our knowledgeable guides share exciting secrets about the Keys, and can perhaps introduce you to some new favorites!
- Does the tour leader accept gratuities?
- Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory.
- Can I shop on the tour?
- We ask that you please wait to shop until after the tour so that we can stay on scheduled time with our restaurants. We recommend that you allow time at the end of the tour to return to your favorite locations and/or stores.
- Are cameras allowed?
- Yes, visitors are allowed and encouraged to take pictures at any of the establishments we visit.
- Are pets allowed?
- Due to the policies of the various food establishments we visit, pets are not allowed on this tour.
- Are tours only offered in English?
