The Rest of the Story

What I enjoyed the most about the tour was the insight that was imparted. Most tours are - here's a building, when it was built, and it's this big. This tour was for example, the Empire State building was built in 1931, 102 floors - what you'd expect to hear from a tour guide. The interesting facts, seldom heard, are that it took only a little over a year to construct for they used 3000 men and paid them less than typical because it was the depression and all needed work.

This was our second tour with Steve's business, the last being about 12 years ago. Both times I enjoyed hearing the more unusual aspects about NYC. It was so enjoyable for my entire family. The tour bus was extremely clean and comfortable.

I had a wonderful time. I was very impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm that our driver shared with us. I would recommend it to everyone going to New York, even if it was their 100th time!!!

Our guide for the day was JOE. He had a plethora of facts which he shared as the small van drove the six members around Manhattan. I will recommend this tour as a wonderful launch to someone's first NYC visit.

Steve, our guide was humorous and knowledgeable about New York. We took the full day trip which gave us a great overview of Manhattan. A must do for short stay visitors.

We took the six hour tour which was excellent! Steve was our tour guide and was very informative and friendly. He gave us an extensive tour of Manhatten and highlighted many areas and buildings that we would not have known about on our own. Lunch at Katz's Deli was great. We highly recommend this tour for both the content and price. It would make any visit to NYC highly memorable. Thanks Steve!!!

The owner of the tour company had taken the day off, and our substitute was a teacher and radio talk show host. He has a radio show every Monday talking about New York history and culture. He is also an accredited teacher and theaches history to other teachers. The depth of his knowledge was very impressive, and he tried to share as much of it as he could during the tour. At times, the information he was giving us was a bit overwhelming. I must say he was well prepared. He brought two large canvas briefcases with him full of facts and pictures. We stopped at Madison Square Park, the Crysler Building, Financial Center (Ground Zero) and Katz for lunch. All nice locations. We drove through virually every area on Manhattan Island. The thing I came away with from this tour is that we have a lot of history here in our own country. I have spent a fair amount of time in London, and was always impressed with thier history, After this tour, I am pround to say ours is just as rich and varied as anyones! Recommend if you are a history buff. Owner is said to be more of an entertainer, but I was happy with the guide we had. I doubt you would find anybody with his qualifications on a Gray Line bus tour.

the tour was the best ever. It was knowledgable and our tour guide Steve was well informed and he was an excellent tour guide. I wished that we had taken the tour in the beginning of vacation instead of the end so much to see we would have liked to go back over some of the interesting points that Steve pointed out. We stopped to take pictures and we were given enough time to reflect everything that Steve was telling us. I would give the tour a five star.

This is an excellent tour in all aspects. In fact, this is the third time that I have been on the tour. The last two times, I brought family and friends with me.
