| I am very sorry when I have to criticize or complain about anything, especially something I look forward to enthusiastically and for which I pay an estimable sum of money .
I was impressed by the website and testimonials on "Manhatten Tours" and chose this company for my tour of NYC, where I had not been for several years. I hoped to see most of the main districts (as advertised) and learn some history about, say, Chinatown and the Fashion Industry, as well as get out and walk around a bit in SOHO or Greeewich Village. Our group was an ideal size for a stroll (which we did do in Central Park) but we spent the majority of time sitting in a minibus and listening to a lot of ... voice.
We got to look up at the Empire State building from several blocks away.; we got to look up interminably at the ceiling of Grand Central Terminal; we also stood out on sidewalks (and looked up) (and it was cold) and a lot of time was given to jerking through the downtown traffic of Lower Manhatten. We got to hear all about how Harlem has changed. Some of the information bordered on interesting. But a few days later I can't tell you one thing of substance that I learned.
Steve is a great organizer and a terrific speaker -- I sure don't want him to take anything personally; but this tour lacked content, and would best be categorized as, say, : "Your Very First Introduction to How To Get Around In New York". But then there would need to be added info on using subways and so on.
I felt so bad about asking my friend who I booked the tour with for the $85.00 ticket price, I told her to forget it. She was cold in the bus and fell asleep for part of the tour, so I didn't want to add insult to injury. We were both very positive and open and willing to absorb whatever interesting information was going to be offered about this amazing city of New York, but a couple of days later , as I mentioned, I can't remember anything of substance. I feel bad about that. I feel kind of ripped off.
Unfortunately our Broadway show got cancelled due to the strike...so our weekend in NYC had its elements of disappointment. Still, it's New York City! The Met and Times Square were excellent and I enjoyed a walk through Central Park on Sunday.
Have a great day
Sincerely,
Laara |

| The tour with Stephen as our fearless leader, was truly more entertaining than the two Broadway plays we attended while we were in NYC. He gave a huge insight into the lives of local New Yorkers and a vivid history of this crammed town.....( coming from Texas there was a lot of close quarters....) Highly recommend this to all my friends and give it 5 stars... |

| This was my favorite city tour ever - and even better that it occurred in New York City, one of my favorite cities. I have been to NYC several times, but now I have a better feel for all of Manhattan. I recommend the full day tour. |

| Wonderful, intimate tour led by an enthusiastic, humorous, and knowledgable guide. We were able to go places, see things, and learn more about the city than we ever could have done on our own. The small group atmosphere added to the overall experience. We will definitely recommend Marvelous Manhattan Tours to anyone traveling to New York. It was, by far, the highlight of our trip! |

| We went on the Royal Tour which is a 7 hour tour. I recommend it even if you have been to New York. Our tour guide was so thorough , I learned so much about New York and it's history and saw more than I thought I would. The guide makes the tour fun and exciting! |

| Steven the tour guide is great! The tour bus was comfortable, he answered all our questions and he's a character too. This was our first trip to N. Y. and it was great to get on and off the bus with the tour guide so that he can give us the history while we were in Grand Central station or in the Northern part of Central park (which was gorgeous in November). He's a New Yorker that has been running tours for 18 years so he knows his stuff. This is the personal attention we wanted compared to the sitting on the top of a bus getting sunburned partially listening to an announcer on the intercom. I will definitely come back to New York as soon as I can and I enthusiastically recomemend this tour! |

| We chose to do the Royal Tour and learned so much more about the City than we ever knew we needed to know! It was extremely informative, interesting, and puts things in perspective. Stephen is a walking history book and his love for the City shines! His buses are so much nicer and more comfortable than are the other over-crowded tour buses. We appreciated getting to see so many things we would not have been able to do ourselves since we had only a few days there. This is a great intro to the City; then you can choose to go back for longer visits at each of your favorite places since there's not enough time on the tour to stop at each place. It's also extremely courteous that we were called by our names all day. My family and I highly recommend this tour. |
