| We enjoyed the tour with the King of NYC. He was interesting and knowledgeable about the city, culture, history, and local flare. We learned alot and appreciated his attitiude and professionalism. We felt like he loves the city and the people who visit there. Steve helped us to have a better understanding of the city, its people, and how to get around town.
Thanks we will do it again.

| We really enjoyed our all day tour of New York City. Steve really knows the city and it seemed like we were on a private tour with the special consideration provided to us when needed. I highly recommend this tour to any and all. |

| I've been on a variety of tours throughout my life, but rarely have I been on a tour that left me with such a "feeling" for the area as this one did. Rather than just a series of facts and figures, Stephen gave us the real flavor of New York. He described the people in places in such a way that you could really imagine what it would be like living there. In addition, rather than stopping for lunch at a sterile "Wendy's-type environment", he took us to a real New York deli -- Katz's -- and we ate with the locals.
Stephen's energy level was amazing. I really appreciated the way he "told it like it is" instead of simply spouting off tired, politically safe facts. The tour was a great overview of New York. The next step would be if you could offer some specialized tours where maybe you just see two or three places in more detail. This was perfect for my first visit though.
For those people who want a traditional non-emotional "to the left you see the Empire State Bldg." kind of tour, this may not be for you. But if you want a high energy in your face tour that will leave you with a real taste of New York, then i highly recommend it. |

| I highly recommend this NYC Tour. It was our second time and we still enjoyed it. It's an easy way to see many spread-out sights during a short period of time. |

| We were hoping that this tour would form a solid foundation for our learning about New York and its people; and that is exactly what we got. We were a little concerned that a day of listening to our guide could become a bit wearing at some stage, but we needn't have been concerned because Stephen is a master communicator who could teach a few useful tricks to teachers in schools who complain that their students do not learn; Stephen obviously knows that it's no good giving information unless it is enjoyable, varied in its content and delivery, and pitched in ways that suit the different personalities that make up his audience.
Having said the above, if the information had no added value over and above what is generally known, then the whole experience would have been merely enjoyable but not exceptional. However Stephen seems to have a rare insight into quite a few subtle nuances which we feel gave us an exceptional insight about this extraordinary city.
Probably, for us, the most impressive thing about Stephen is that he appears to really care that his audience learns about the real New York.
We had alot of fun, alot of learning, and are still amazed at the fact that he could hold our attention throughout the whole day.
He made an extra effort to ensure that his customers were comfortable with the content of the tour.

| We first took this tour about 8 -10 years ago, on our first trip since 1970 (when we hated NYC.) We took the tour on the recomendation of a concierge and absolutely loved it! Since then, I have sent a number of friends on it and they, too, loved it, so we decided to take it again. Steve has such a wealth of information about NYC, its history, and really seems to love the city. He communicates that love really well and helped us to understand the city much better.
One member of our group was a relative who lives in NYC and she intends to take her out-of-town visitors on the tour so they can experience it, too.
My only problem is that Steve doesn't "pitch" his program enough -- he should give everyone a business card and encourage them to send their friends. Everyone who goes to NYC should go on this tour!

| We thoughly enjoyed out tour. We were looking to see as much of NY as we could thats why we picked this trip. I would like to have had more time at a few places. I didn't enjoy the Katzs deli. I didn't like the no refund policy. We had one person who couldn't make it at the last minute. |

| Touring with the King of New York (Steve) is like traveling with an old friend who is showing you around his hometown. You travel on a small bus so your tour group is quite small (no larger than 26 people I believe).
Steve shows you the real New York and tells you the history of that lovely city. This isn't one of those generic tours where you're craning your neck trying to see the site the tour guide is describing as your bus passes it, and where you're herded on and off the bus at the tourist stops.
While in New York in August of 2006, we also took the NYC Party Tour, and it was one of those hectic drive past as many sites as possible tours. We didn't bother with the Hop on and Hop Off tour based on the bored looks we noticed on the faces of that tour's passengers.
If you are interested in learning about New York City as well as seeing the sites, then I recommed that you take the Marvelous Manhattan Tour with the King of New York. He costs a little more, but the extra expense is well worth it. |
