| The best tour ever from all my worldly travels.
This tour was about commitment, dedication, insight, passion and words of wisdom about New York. All the books, television, and movies about New York can't capture the essence that Steve expresses on this wonderful Marvelous Manhatten Tour of New York city . Steve should be a broadcaster. He possess the personaltiy, knowledge and wisdom to communicate the soul of the city that never sleeps.

Great tour - small group which allowed easy access to the guide for questions and able to hear the answers. Very informative and interesting. A better appreciation of New York after the tour. The teenagers even enjoyed it, so it had to be good.

Great info, entertaining guide, A few inaccuracies in the web description and the actual tour...was 9-3:30, not till 5...which was ok as we were just about hitting overload. No Grand Central due to city problem...but no visit to Columbia University area or Grants Tomb which would have been of interest to this visitor. Pleased overall by my young adult daughter as well as myself.

We were first time visitors to New York City and feel we received a fabulous overview of the city from Stephen Duer, our tour guide. Stephen is exceptionally knowledgeable of New York City and enthusiastically shared this with us. We arrived with no concept of New York and left knowing uptown from downtown, the fashion district from wall street, soho from greenwich village, Manhattan from the Bronx, and how all this fits together. It was a great tour. Well done, Stephen.

While not new to NY, we did learn a lot during our 4.5 hour trip through midtown and downtown Manhattan. Our guide Stephen communicated his love for the city and did so in a humourous and informative way. Being a small group (12 people) in a minibus helped create a congenial atmosphere and allowed for interactivity; at one stage, we even got into a heated argument over the respective merits of Obama and Bush. We only had time for the morning trip, but next time we will definitely do the whole day tour.

We thoughly enjoyed out tour. We were looking to see as much of NY as we could thats why we picked this trip. I would like to have had more time at a few places. I didn't enjoy the Katzs deli. I didn't like the no refund policy. We had one person who couldn't make it at the last minute.

We really enjoyed our all day tour of New York City. Steve really knows the city and it seemed like we were on a private tour with the special consideration provided to us when needed. I highly recommend this tour to any and all.

This was a highly enjoyable and thoroughly informative tour of Manhattan. The many little bits of details and statistics that Steve provided with great enthusiasm, helped me to truly appreciate New York right from the beginning of my vacation. We took our infant son on the tour with us, even though it was an entire day of touring. Because it was a nice bus I was able to feed and care for him throughout the day with very little disturbance to anyone on board. We forgot our camera, but due to Steve's thoroughness we were able to make our way back to our favorite spots without complication. If you are looking to tour with a small group and a very detailed description of Manhattan this is a Marvelous choice!

It was our first time traveling to the city, and we traditionally don't really like tours. We decided to do it, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. It was the perfect way to see a little of everything and learn all about the city when we first arrived. The rest of our trip was going back to all of our favorite sights we saw on the tour! Steve was an excellent, very informative tour guide. We loved it and highly recommend it if you're trying to decide whether to do a tour or not. It was small and intimate - much better than the double decker, oversized tours that you see!

The owner of the tour company had taken the day off, and our substitute was a teacher and radio talk show host. He has a radio show every Monday talking about New York history and culture. He is also an accredited teacher and theaches history to other teachers. The depth of his knowledge was very impressive, and he tried to share as much of it as he could during the tour. At times, the information he was giving us was a bit overwhelming. I must say he was well prepared. He brought two large canvas briefcases with him full of facts and pictures. We stopped at Madison Square Park, the Crysler Building, Financial Center (Ground Zero) and Katz for lunch. All nice locations. We drove through virually every area on Manhattan Island. The thing I came away with from this tour is that we have a lot of history here in our own country. I have spent a fair amount of time in London, and was always impressed with thier history, After this tour, I am pround to say ours is just as rich and varied as anyones! Recommend if you are a history buff. Owner is said to be more of an entertainer, but I was happy with the guide we had. I doubt you would find anybody with his qualifications on a Gray Line bus tour.
