Marvelous Manhattan Tours is worth it!

We chose to do the Royal Tour and learned so much more about the City than we ever knew we needed to know! It was extremely informative, interesting, and puts things in perspective. Stephen is a walking history book and his love for the City shines! His buses are so much nicer and more comfortable than are the other over-crowded tour buses. We appreciated getting to see so many things we would not have been able to do ourselves since we had only a few days there. This is a great intro to the City; then you can choose to go back for longer visits at each of your favorite places since there's not enough time on the tour to stop at each place. It's also extremely courteous that we were called by our names all day. My family and I highly recommend this tour.

High Energy NYC Tour -- The Best!!

I've been on a variety of tours throughout my life, but rarely have I been on a tour that left me with such a "feeling" for the area as this one did. Rather than just a series of facts and figures, Stephen gave us the real flavor of New York. He described the people in places in such a way that you could really imagine what it would be like living there. In addition, rather than stopping for lunch at a sterile "Wendy's-type environment", he took us to a real New York deli -- Katz's -- and we ate with the locals. Stephen's energy level was amazing. I really appreciated the way he "told it like it is" instead of simply spouting off tired, politically safe facts. The tour was a great overview of New York. The next step would be if you could offer some specialized tours where maybe you just see two or three places in more detail. This was perfect for my first visit though. For those people who want a traditional non-emotional "to the left you see the Empire State Bldg." kind of tour, this may not be for you. But if you want a high energy in your face tour that will leave you with a real taste of New York, then i highly recommend it.

Informative and Entertaining. Simply outstanding

Our tour guide (Steve) was very knowledgeable. He was quite humerous, and held our interest by involving the entire group. We saw quite alot of the city and had the right amount of stops. The bus we were travelling in was very comfortable. Once again a great job. We will not hesitate to recommend this tour to our friends and family.

Living in NJ and only 13 miles from the city, we have come to the city many times and visited individual sites but never took a tour. This tour was recommended by a friend who enjoyed it. We have taken tours of other cities and decided to try it. We found the tour entertaining and informative. Steve, the owner and tour director, is personable and knowledgeable. We have already recommended it to family and friends. A group of friends who regularly exchange Xmas gifts have decided to take this tour together in lieu of shopping for each other. Thanks, Steve. Nice Job!

I highly recommend this NYC Tour. It was our second time and we still enjoyed it. It's an easy way to see many spread-out sights during a short period of time.

Extremely entertaining and informative experience

We were hoping that this tour would form a solid foundation for our learning about New York and its people; and that is exactly what we got. We were a little concerned that a day of listening to our guide could become a bit wearing at some stage, but we needn't have been concerned because Stephen is a master communicator who could teach a few useful tricks to teachers in schools who complain that their students do not learn; Stephen obviously knows that it's no good giving information unless it is enjoyable, varied in its content and delivery, and pitched in ways that suit the different personalities that make up his audience. Having said the above, if the information had no added value over and above what is generally known, then the whole experience would have been merely enjoyable but not exceptional. However Stephen seems to have a rare insight into quite a few subtle nuances which we feel gave us an exceptional insight about this extraordinary city. Probably, for us, the most impressive thing about Stephen is that he appears to really care that his audience learns about the real New York. We had alot of fun, alot of learning, and are still amazed at the fact that he could hold our attention throughout the whole day. He made an extra effort to ensure that his customers were comfortable with the content of the tour.

This tour was recommended by someone who had taken it in the past. I was skeptical at first, thinking of how much of NYC I could see from a van just driving around and five hours seemed like a long tour. But I was pleasantly surprised of the amount of things we saw and how much information was shared about the city. I can truly say I was disappointed when it was over....I wanted more! Steve was great. In addition to the knowledge and history of the city, he also shared with us his personal experiences and view of the city. I would recommend this tour to anyone and everyone.

Great way to start our New York trip!

The best thing we did in New York was take the tour with King Steve. I first thought that we should take the tour on saturday but it was full so we decided to take it Friday. This is after realizing we would not get to sleep the night before until atleast 2:00 a.m. and also try to get up 3 kids the next morning. But it was well worth it. We learned about the city - that it made the rest of our trip better. There is something for everyone on the tour. All the kids enjoyed it (18, 17 and 9). He was interesting, funny, opinionated and very enjoyable. I will recommend King of NYC to everyone and also to make sure to take it as soon as they get there.
