Wonderful Tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Royal Bus Tour of NYC. When we first arrived in Manhattan my initial thought was why would anyone want to live here? I was also a little afraid. After the tour I felt totally comfortable and ready to explore the city at my own pace. Steven Duer is exceptionally knowledgable about NYC and has a wonderul sense of humor. He made learning about the city entertaining and fun. He was also very patient with my elderly parents who were much slower than everyone else on the tour. (Thank you Steven.) This tour is a little more expensive than some but well worth it. I would recommend this tour to anyone who really wants to learn about the city and not just visit tourist hot spots.

The tour was well done, kept very much on schedule without being rushed and pushed. We were given a lot of history and interesting information about New York City that we would not have found any other way.

Entertaining and Informative way to see Manhattan

From start to finish of this tour, we were educated, informed and at the same time, entertained. Steve reminded us of Jim Carrey, but with a wealth of information on NYC at his fingertips. We covered most of the main sites on Manhattan Island and had a great lunch stop at Katz's Deli ( of "When Harry Met Sally" fame). From the moment Steve greeted me by name until we said goodbye, this was probably the best tour of this sort I have been on- in ANY city. From being first time visitors to the city, I now know the difference between a neighbourhood and a district, why the fence around Bowling Green is uneven, where to look for the "dirty patch" in Grand Central and which president took his oath on Wall Street. By the end of the tour, I felt I was beginning to have a real feel for Manhattan. Highly Recommended

Steve, the tour guide was extremely personable and knowledgeable. I will recommend anyone who takes this tour to ask for Steve. He made the city come alive for us and I believe I can find my way anywhere, thanks to him. To take a tour with any one else is a great loss. It was well worth the money.

We were recommended to take this tour by friends who had done it and we were not disappointed. This was our first trip to NY and the tour was a perfect way to see the main sights and get a good feel for the city. Steve's depth of knowledge, his enthusiasm, his humour and the clarity of his delivery make him an ideal guide. The bus was comfortable and the duration of the tour just right. I and my partner have done quite a few city tours and this was far and away the best we have ever done. Absolutely brilliant and thank you so much.

We took this trip last week and it was WONDERFUL! We had taken a similar tour of NYC several years ago and this one is far more comprehensive and informative. Steve is excellent as a guide. He made the sights and places so interesting. He is so dynamic and entertaining as he shares his knowledge and love of New York City. The tour was inclusive of many of the places we wanted to see. We did not have to spend time figuring out where and how to get to places (and probably getting lost) and thus had time to do other exciting things. The day passed too quickly! You get what you pay for and this tour is worth the price you pay! If you are wanting a tour this is the one to choose!

Great tour - small group which allowed easy access to the guide for questions and able to hear the answers. Very informative and interesting. A better appreciation of New York after the tour. The teenagers even enjoyed it, so it had to be good.

Best Tour in NYC

I would recommend this tour for anyone. My wife and I brought our 2 kids (ages 6 and 9) to NYC and they loved the tour. Steve is very personable and really wants his customers to enjoy the city and learn. The best thing about this tour is the small size; only 11 or 12 of us on the tour. Probably the price weeds out a lot of people; I believe we paid $100 per ticket for each adult and about $70 for each kid. Believe me, it's worth every penny. You can ask questions at any time; this is much better than the large tour buses you see rolling thru the city. It's like having your own personal tour guide. Steve is a wealth of knowledge about New York. We took the all day tour; lasts from 9:30 to 3:30.

make sure your tour is with the king of ny city

I hate guided tours and normally go it alone with a map but was recommended to the king of new york city and came away with a font of knowledge about new york and the people that live there. There were three of us aged between 73 and 13 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our day. The tour was in a comfortable bus, ample refreshment and toilet breaks and stopping at Katz's deli was a true new york experience. So my advice is - if you are going to take any tours, make sure it is with the king of new york.
