| The owner of the tour company had taken the day off, and our substitute was a teacher and radio talk show host. He has a radio show every Monday talking about New York history and culture. He is also an accredited teacher and theaches history to other teachers. The depth of his knowledge was very impressive, and he tried to share as much of it as he could during the tour. At times, the information he was giving us was a bit overwhelming. I must say he was well prepared. He brought two large canvas briefcases with him full of facts and pictures. We stopped at Madison Square Park, the Crysler Building, Financial Center (Ground Zero) and Katz for lunch. All nice locations. We drove through virually every area on Manhattan Island. The thing I came away with from this tour is that we have a lot of history here in our own country. I have spent a fair amount of time in London, and was always impressed with thier history, After this tour, I am pround to say ours is just as rich and varied as anyones! Recommend if you are a history buff. Owner is said to be more of an entertainer, but I was happy with the guide we had. I doubt you would find anybody with his qualifications on a Gray Line bus tour. |

| We enjoyed our tour for the most part. I was suffering from jet lag, but we really got to see all the important sights in downtown Manhattan. It was a lot to see in one day. Our tour guide, "Steve" kept things interesting and lively. He moved us along at a fast pace.
I would have liked to see Ellis Island up closer. The weather was nice up until about 3:30 or so. Then the rain came. Our tour guide more or less told us to get out in the rain. We walked about four blocks to our hotel in the rain. We knew the driver would not return us to the hotel, but we didn't really know where we were, at first. Then the guide, "Steve" said, "What are you waiting for? The rain to stop?" and that was the way he dumped us off the bus. By that time we were all tired, but he could have been more polite to tourists. |

| the tour was the best ever. It was knowledgable and our tour guide Steve was well informed and he was an excellent tour guide. I wished that we had taken the tour in the beginning of vacation instead of the end so much to see we would have liked to go back over some of the interesting points that Steve pointed out. We stopped to take pictures and we were given enough time to reflect everything that Steve was telling us. I would give the tour a five star. |

| Our guide, from Oxford,PA, was enthuiastic, well informed, energetic, and friendly. He'd make a great teacher. Our driver was a good guy too.

| This is an excellent tour in all aspects. In fact, this is the third time that I have been on the tour. The last two times, I brought family and friends with me. |

| Terrific tour... was not let down from what I read in the prior reviews. Very enthusiastic and knowledeable guide. I learned a lot about the city, it's history, etc. The visit to Sardi's was great... we ended up having cocktails and appetizers the next day before the show as he recommended, and it was wonderful. We found ourselves quoting all the history and trivia we learned about during the tour with our friends over the following few days.
I definitely recommend the tour. |

| I am a native New Yorker who decided to take a tour so I could get a different perspective of the city in which I have lived all my life, and I absolutely loved my tour with Marvelous Manhattan Tours, led by the knowlegable and hilarious "King of New York" Steven who kept us laughing the whole time when he wasn't filling us in on the history of the sights. Furthermore the vehicle in which we rode was clean, comfortable and luxurious. You get more than a tour with Marvelous Manhattan. You get a lesson on how to navigate the streets, neighborhoods and people of this complex and exciting metropolis. This is the best there is. |

| When the King (Stephen Duer) arrived promptly at our meeting place, he informed our small group - myself (43), my mother (73) and a couple from the UK - that there had been a fire on one of the tour busses the day before, and while he had to reschedule a tour for a larger group he would be able to personally give us the Marvelous Manhattan Tour.
I have traveled extensively, and have been to New York numerous times, so my concern was that my mother would have an enjoyable day. Because of the expertise of our tour director she did. We were not a traditional homogeneous group; my mother is 73, I am 43 and we are African-American, our tour mates were a middle aged White couple from England. I had been to New York several times, my mother had never been, and our tour mates were on their third trip. Keeping all of us informed and entertained, especially given our very different backgrounds, expectations and areas of interest, was no small feat!
Our guides’ knowledge of all aspects of New York City, from rap culture to historical architecture, was impressive. More important, however, was the fact that this tour was conducted in such a way as to keep all parties entertained. It was more like having a good friend who knows what you want to see and experience show you the ropes than a tour. My mom has restrictions on her ability to walk, and as a result on several of the stops she wanted to stay in the van. Mr. Duer was such an excellent conversationalist that she did not feel at all that she missed out on anything. The day gave all of us a wonderful overview of New York City - even though I have been to the city several times I learned and saw many things that were new to me.
I would without hesitation suggest and recommend this tour to anyone who would like the ultimate touring experience. There were tours that cost less, but for my money this one could not be beat. Mr. Duer is the consummate professional, and in all of my travels around the world I have not been a part of a more interactive, interesting tour. |

| Steve is a passionate New Yorker, who managed to convey the depth and breadth of this marvelous city with humor and expertise. Even after countless visits here, we learned an incredible amount as we shepherded our grand niece from Zurich around the Apple! Recommend this tour most highly! |
