We enjoyed the tour. We did not have the greatest weather conditions so I think that had an impact on enjoying some of the outside touring. Would have preferred a larger bus in order to see more of the landscape. This was the second time I did the tour and I think you have a great guide although some people do not appreciate the personal views of our guide. I think it adds to the experience so keep doing what you are doing. Steve C

My husband and I chose this tour based on other reviews and because we prefer a smaller group - we were not disappointed. Steve provided us with a lot of information (as well as laughs) about Manhattan and we saw places we would not have seen otherwise. I would absolutely recommend this over a large group tour. Steven knows his New York and enthusiastically shared his knowledge and his passion for the city with the participants of our tour. We managed to get a great combination of facts and anecdotal incidents to make us feel at home in the "big apple". The tour covered all essentials and we had a small enough group that all our questions could be answered. We felt we had a good enough orientation to plan our own schedules and revisit any places of additional interest in the days following the tour. Thanks for a great day!!

First and foremost I did two tours - one was the Festival of Lights (I would highly recommend it to visitors at Xmas time - it was awesome) and the other was the half day Royal Bus Tour. Before I describe the experience, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for "adding" the extra Festival of Lights Tour on Dec 27th so that I was able to experience the event. It was awesome and our tour guide, Steve, was extremely entertaining. What I liked most about the Royal Tour (half day) was that a variety of places are highlighted such that as a first time visitor to New York City gave me an idea of places that I might like to revisit and in fact I did revisit some of them. Had I been with another adult (rather than an 18 year old), I would have done the full day tour. What made the tour so great was our guide - he really was knowledgeable and entertaining. BUT, you must tell him that he blew one thing! We left the tour early to go into the Mercantile Building to watch the stock exchange in action. We left the tour early because where we were going we had seen the evening before on the Festival of Lights (so it wasn't necessary to see it twice). However, we were not allowed to go into the Mercantile Building - you have to somehow get special permission in advance to do it. I love NYC and I will be back - and I will do another tour with you!

A tour that all visitors (and even locals) must take in order to better appreciate the history and sites of New York City. Steve, our tour guide, was very informative and entertaining. He's a real new yorker who truly loves his city! After taking his tour, we too undertand why many people rave about this city.

Small group so we all knew each other's name in no time. The tour guide was great fun, giving lots of extra facts and figures. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

I am very sorry when I have to criticize or complain about anything, especially something I look forward to enthusiastically and for which I pay an estimable sum of money . I was impressed by the website and testimonials on "Manhatten Tours" and chose this company for my tour of NYC, where I had not been for several years. I hoped to see most of the main districts (as advertised) and learn some history about, say, Chinatown and the Fashion Industry, as well as get out and walk around a bit in SOHO or Greeewich Village. Our group was an ideal size for a stroll (which we did do in Central Park) but we spent the majority of time sitting in a minibus and listening to a lot of ... voice. We got to look up at the Empire State building from several blocks away.; we got to look up interminably at the ceiling of Grand Central Terminal; we also stood out on sidewalks (and looked up) (and it was cold) and a lot of time was given to jerking through the downtown traffic of Lower Manhatten. We got to hear all about how Harlem has changed. Some of the information bordered on interesting. But a few days later I can't tell you one thing of substance that I learned. Steve is a great organizer and a terrific speaker -- I sure don't want him to take anything personally; but this tour lacked content, and would best be categorized as, say, : "Your Very First Introduction to How To Get Around In New York". But then there would need to be added info on using subways and so on. I felt so bad about asking my friend who I booked the tour with for the $85.00 ticket price, I told her to forget it. She was cold in the bus and fell asleep for part of the tour, so I didn't want to add insult to injury. We were both very positive and open and willing to absorb whatever interesting information was going to be offered about this amazing city of New York, but a couple of days later , as I mentioned, I can't remember anything of substance. I feel bad about that. I feel kind of ripped off. Unfortunately our Broadway show got cancelled due to the strike...so our weekend in NYC had its elements of disappointment. Still, it's New York City! The Met and Times Square were excellent and I enjoyed a walk through Central Park on Sunday. Have a great day Sincerely, Laara
