| The Marvelous Manhattan Tour was highly recommended by a Salt Lake City friend, specifiying Steven as a tour guide. My husband, daughter and I took the Royal Tour our first day in NYC. Steven was excellent. At the end of the day we all felt we had a good knowledge of the City. |

| We had just a few hours to spend in the city and had to opt for the half day tour. We saw all the sites we wanted to see and don't feel we missed a thing. Thanks! |

| Loved the tour. Steve did a fantastic job and is a wealth of knowledge and information. Wish I had known about him in time to schedule him for more tours/time. Would loved to have stayed longer. |

| First and foremost I did two tours - one was the Festival of Lights (I would highly recommend it to visitors at Xmas time - it was awesome) and the other was the half day Royal Bus Tour. Before I describe the experience, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for "adding" the extra Festival of Lights Tour on Dec 27th so that I was able to experience the event. It was awesome and our tour guide, Steve, was extremely entertaining.
What I liked most about the Royal Tour (half day) was that a variety of places are highlighted such that as a first time visitor to New York City gave me an idea of places that I might like to revisit and in fact I did revisit some of them. Had I been with another adult (rather than an 18 year old), I would have done the full day tour. What made the tour so great was our guide - he really was knowledgeable and entertaining.
BUT, you must tell him that he blew one thing! We left the tour early to go into the Mercantile Building to watch the stock exchange in action. We left the tour early because where we were going we had seen the evening before on the Festival of Lights (so it wasn't necessary to see it twice). However, we were not allowed to go into the Mercantile Building - you have to somehow get special permission in advance to do it.
I love NYC and I will be back - and I will do another tour with you! |

| We went on our full day tour the second day of our vacation in NYC and it turned out to be the key to the enjoyment of the entire trip! Steven, the tour owner and operator, does a fantastic job of showing the major sights in uptown, midtown, and downtown. He also provided fascinating historical facts associated with the sights-- NOT just "look at the Empire State Building" but history associated with its construction during the Depression, etc.
Steven's tour earned our highest rating! Don't miss it. |

| This was a great way to see many of the famous sites of NY without having to ride around in a big tour bus. It was great having someone who knew the ins and outs of the city and its many idiosyncrasies. Steve was easy to communicate with (when you could get a word in edgewise) and had answers to almost every question we had. We will recommend this trip to friends who come to visit. Our daughter had taken this tour twice previously and wouldn't hear of our not taking it. Thanks again for a great time. |

| Steven knows his New York and enthusiastically shared his knowledge and his passion for the city with the participants of our tour.
We managed to get a great combination of facts and anecdotal incidents to make us feel at home in the "big apple". The tour covered all essentials and we had a small enough group that all our questions could be answered. We felt we had a good enough orientation to plan our own schedules and revisit any places of additional interest in the days following the tour.
Thanks for a great day!! |

Entertainment or passive aggressive prejudice?

| Steve is charming, funny and knowledgeable. He had a way with words when it came to the African American couple on our tour, passive aggressive prejudice is the best way I can describe it. He went out of his way to make a reference to Black History month while nodding to the couple, finally she said to the others on the bus that Black History Month is not about her. The final straw for my husband and I was that he prided himself on remembering peoples names but referred to them as "where's OUR black couple" when their portion of the tour was over and they left. I know it wasn’t just me because after lunch Steve finally said something along this line to everyone "what's wrong, did I say something wrong, oh…no one will tell me but I'll hear about it in an email in 2 days". I had already planned to say something about it at the end of the trip, which when I tried to describe what offended me he started defending his comments before I could get a full sentence out. I realized that nothing I said to him, he would hear. When I got off the bus my three teenage children all commented that they were floored by his black/African American commentary and references. |

| The tour guide knew a lot about the city and took the passengers to all the main points of Manhattan with short stops to get some closer looks. It was some long stretches in the car though, and with all the traffic, there were some jerky stops, so if you get car sick, this is not the tour for you. My friend and I are in our early 30's and some of the commentary by the guide seemed geared more toward some of the older people on the tour, but since there were eight guests all together, there were times for individual questions. Overall though, it was a nice overall glimpse of Manhattan and gave us ideas of what areas we would like closer looks at. |
