| Steve is terrific: He doesn't bore you with a ceaseless flow of trivia but rather informs you and shows you a fantastic slice of NYC. It is really obvious that he is a committed NYer who gets a kick out of his product.
There are MANY guides in this city. I am one of them. There are a number of good guides in the city but a vastly greater number of awful ones. Steve is a VERY good guide.
Highly recommended |

| I booked this rather pricey tour for a fcouple reasons.
1. It was recommended by Zerve.
2. The type of bus.
I received excellent service up until my pick up. Shortly after booking I found out that the first pick up was at the Waldorf - so I asked to be picked up there so that we could have a chance at the first row of seats. This was all accomodated and confirmed via emails.
The actual experience: Not only were we NOT on the list for pick up at the Waldorf (as the tour guide indicated) there were other people on the bus ahead of us - so it was not the first stop and we had no chance of getting the front seats.
The bus was not the beautiful one described but rather a cramped mini-van which was difficult to manouver in and out of and as well, you could see very little. A coach would have been much better. But we were looking forward to the 'special' bus and it was not there.
The host indicated that he was a victim of the current economic troubles - and that's why his bus is gone. He said he'd make it up with the information he had to offer. Well at the price paid, we wanted both the information and the bus.
Interestingly at the end of the tour he told us that this mini van had 5 more days to go and that his new bus (the 'nice' style) would be in his hands at that point. So he lied to us at the beginning - suggesting that the economic climate was the reason is bus was gone.
Overall, disappointing - we should have been given ample notice to allow us to properly decide and take appropriate steps to research and book into another tour. |

| The tour was well worth it for me travelling on my own to get my bearings, & to give me an overall 'picture' of New York City. It enabled me to feel more confident in venturing out on my own to more places. Good to meet others & the guide (Steve) was informative - a wealth of valuable knowledge. |

| I am a New Yorker who booked Marvelous Manhattan Tours to show an old friend from Eugene, Oregon my city, for her first time visit. Steve was a superb guide who provided in depth information about New York City and with every question expanded easily and conversationally in detail, sometimes including his own perspective where appropriate. He was wholly present, (engaged each participant by name), helpful, personable and involved in the most entertaining manner. We had sort of wondered whether we could stand 6 1/2 hours on a bus but it was the most wonderful and informational experience. I will most certainly do this again should the occasion present itself. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough for those who want more than a superficial experience. |

| This was my first time to NYC and I wanted something all-inclusive, yet entertaining. Well, this tour is all that and more! Steve, tour guide, has got to be one of the most knowledgable, funny guides I've ever encountered. I would recommend this with more than 5 stars! Lisa Zim, LA, Ca. |

| I am a native New Yorker who decided to take a tour so I could get a different perspective of the city in which I have lived all my life, and I absolutely loved my tour with Marvelous Manhattan Tours, led by the knowlegable and hilarious "King of New York" Steven who kept us laughing the whole time when he wasn't filling us in on the history of the sights. Furthermore the vehicle in which we rode was clean, comfortable and luxurious. You get more than a tour with Marvelous Manhattan. You get a lesson on how to navigate the streets, neighborhoods and people of this complex and exciting metropolis. This is the best there is. |

| I loved the seeing and learning about the neighborhoods. That's something I didn't get from travel info. I'm glad I saw the World Trade Center site and I was touched by the American Express memorial. I wouldn't have even know it was there if I hadn't been on this tour. Our guide, Steve, knew our names even before we left the pick up spot. Once, we met up with a HUGE tour, and they were listening to Steve, instead of the guide from their bus. Kratz Deli was great. Thanks Steve. |

| I am very sorry when I have to criticize or complain about anything, especially something I look forward to enthusiastically and for which I pay an estimable sum of money .
I was impressed by the website and testimonials on "Manhatten Tours" and chose this company for my tour of NYC, where I had not been for several years. I hoped to see most of the main districts (as advertised) and learn some history about, say, Chinatown and the Fashion Industry, as well as get out and walk around a bit in SOHO or Greeewich Village. Our group was an ideal size for a stroll (which we did do in Central Park) but we spent the majority of time sitting in a minibus and listening to a lot of ... voice.
We got to look up at the Empire State building from several blocks away.; we got to look up interminably at the ceiling of Grand Central Terminal; we also stood out on sidewalks (and looked up) (and it was cold) and a lot of time was given to jerking through the downtown traffic of Lower Manhatten. We got to hear all about how Harlem has changed. Some of the information bordered on interesting. But a few days later I can't tell you one thing of substance that I learned.
Steve is a great organizer and a terrific speaker -- I sure don't want him to take anything personally; but this tour lacked content, and would best be categorized as, say, : "Your Very First Introduction to How To Get Around In New York". But then there would need to be added info on using subways and so on.
I felt so bad about asking my friend who I booked the tour with for the $85.00 ticket price, I told her to forget it. She was cold in the bus and fell asleep for part of the tour, so I didn't want to add insult to injury. We were both very positive and open and willing to absorb whatever interesting information was going to be offered about this amazing city of New York, but a couple of days later , as I mentioned, I can't remember anything of substance. I feel bad about that. I feel kind of ripped off.
Unfortunately our Broadway show got cancelled due to the strike...so our weekend in NYC had its elements of disappointment. Still, it's New York City! The Met and Times Square were excellent and I enjoyed a walk through Central Park on Sunday.
Have a great day
Sincerely,
Laara |

| I felt that is was a good general (Orentation) tour of Manhattan.
I would have liked to see Wall Street and the place where George Washington was inaugrated. I was told that wer were not going there because of security regulations.
I was able to go there briefly the day before and there were no security problems.
I feel that the tour guides should have better communication with the concerages at the hotels where they pick the people up from. The congerage at the New York Hilton said that they would come in and get me and in reality they were waiting for me outside the hotel. When the tour guide (Steve?) could not wait for me any longer he left a message for me at my hotel room. I was waiting for the bus outside the hotel and I was not able to get the message until the tour was over. When I was tired of waiting in the lobby. The Concerage called ZERV who contacted the tour guide. The tour guide said that they would wait 10 minutes for me at a certian spot.
I had to take a taxi inorder to catch up with the tour group.
This could have been advoided if the tour guide had better communication with the hotels. |
