| Travelling from Australia, my husband and I were a bit anxious about ending our U.S holiday at New York with the "stigma" that surrounds the city.
However after pre-booking this tour on-line, we have a new appreciation for the Big Apple, as our tour guide Steve showed us an informative and well educated insight into not only the attractions, but the cultural and psychological reasons that make the big city tick. Being one of the rare, well organised bus tours in Manhatten, we both felt that the tour went well out of it's way to accomodate our party, no matter how many obstacles were thrown in it's way (and there were many, being that half the streets were closed because of the NY 1/2 marathon!) as well as giving us general overviews and glimpses of Manhatten that only even a handful of locals would know. All done with a dose of good-humour, (tho some of the jokes were a bit lame Steve!)
We both reckon that this bus tour, was one of the highlights of our 6 week American odyssey and highly reccommend it to anybody who is thinking of doing it!

| Our guide for the day was JOE. He had a plethora of facts which he shared as the small van drove the six members around Manhattan. I will recommend this tour as a wonderful launch to someone's first NYC visit. |

| Steve, our guide was humorous and knowledgeable about New York. We took the full day trip which gave us a great overview of Manhattan. A must do for short stay visitors. |

| We took the tour on our first full day in New York having booked online before we left England. We book the six hour tour as it was our first visit to NY and thought it would give us an idea of where and what to visit.
The tour was excellent, Steve, the host, was very informative and friendly. The stops to get off and look closely at things whilst he described them gave us lots of information we would not have otherwise known. We had said that we would not go to the site of the World Trade Centre as it seemed a macabre thing to do, however it was part of the tour, Steve gave us a whole different insite into the tragedy and how things are moving on now,
The stop for lunch at the deli was a great experience, again, one which we would not have had if we been looking around unescourted.
I recommend this tour, it is well worth the money and is a great way to start a holiday in New York. |

| 1. The guide was very animated, friendly and knowledgable (but did have a bit of an angry sulk when a couple of people were a bit late back to the bus - in fact he ignored them as they got on).
2. Tour was a very good introduction for New York novices like us.
3. The Katz Deli needs to be taken off the itinerary. The food was horrible, the place was scruffy and the prices extortionate. The guide made us feel obiged to have lunch there, and why anyone needs that much meat in a sandwich is completely beyond me! A horrible experience.
Kind regards |
