spooky enough for all ages

We were a group of four adults with 3 children, ages 10-12. There was just the right mix of history and ghost stories to keep everyone entertained through out the entire walk. We plan to go back during the daylight to see more of the gravestones. A very enjoyable evening.

Disappointing tour

We thought the tour would be 90 minutes. We left after the two hour mark. The cemetary was interesting but we found the guide to be boring. She did go into character as a witch (I think) a few times but her voice just wasn't believable and her personality was strange. . We felt bad leaving the tour with her to carry the lanterns but we asked for it to be the end of the tour and she kept going on with boring stories. There were 7 in our group, 4 in their early 30s, 2 in mid 40s and 1 mid 60s. I would not recommend the tour.

Even for locals! We had a great time! We're from the area and thought it'd be fun to try something different. The guide was very informative and engaging. I highly recommend it! We want to do it on Halloween too!

Not that gripping. Our tour guide mentioned she was tired from doing a trolley tour and doing this tour. It showed. It wasn't that enthralling.

Educational--not too scary, cemetary great

I enjoyed the learning that happened on this tour. The stories of the ghost sightings and other strange things were interesting (particularly one about a more recent murder). It was a good combination of history and learning about the area with some stories about strange happenings. The tour through the cemetary at night was really great. The tour was long and I appreciated that because it was well worth the money. It lasted almost 2 hours. Doing the tour in the dark made it better. They let everyone carry a real lantern with a candle which is also fun and makes it feel more authentic. I would recommend it. Nice for families but may be a bit long for any child under 10.

The Lantern Ghost tour was lots of fun. The group varied in age but all of us seemed to have a fantastic time. Barbara, the tour guide, was so enthusiastic and energetic that she added to the experience. Barbara did not hesitate to answer any of our questions and seemed to be a wealth of knowledge about the area.

I went on the ghost tour recently and Barry was our tour guide- we loved him! He was very enthusiastic and his stories were great. We didn't see anything ghostly, all though all of our cameras mysteriously shut off while we were in the graveyard even though they were all fully charge before the tour!!! The history provided by Barry was worth it all. We had no idea what type of past the streets of Plymouth had (that we have walked a thousand times). Highly reccomended and you will be very lucky if you get Barry as a guide!
