Tour guide very informative and fun...

I loved the tour and so did my family. We arrived on Thaksgiving day to attend the Wampanoag Day of Morning and booked this tour to follow up at night time. The weather was not favorable and it poured all night, but the tour guide gave us the option of returning the next morning which was sunny and warmer. And though we missed out on carrying a lantern, we found the day tour to be even better. Pat, our tour guide, was very fun and detailed with every area she described. Not only did she enlighten us with the common history but made sure that we understood facts that came from the tribal point of view as well as the colonist point of view. She explained to us in details about the Pilgrim's survival and what changed in the natural panorama of the area, from the natural springs that have been there for a few hundred years to the recent (1920) refilling of the swampy area where the national park exist. We got to walk thru areas that if we didn't have this tour we wouldn't have bothered to explore or what significance it had to the history of Plymouth, but also how it varies and impacts the modern population there. The tour began on time and ended on time and we had the ability to ask a million and one questions and get them all answered in a very fun and detailed manner. I wish there were more tours like these in every state, especially in NYC where I'm from. Walking tours give every visitor a perspective that driving through or staying at a fancy resort or hotel would never do for a tourist. I totally recommend it and I plan to go back in the late Spring to early summer when I can do another really nice walking tour, mainly the Ghost Tour by the same company, since the interest was sparked by the tour guide and the information Pat gave us on the history of the Wampanoag's resistance. Besides my interaction with the native people of Plymouth, this tour made it even the more worth it to visit, enjoy and go home and study more about this very important city in our country. It's a must do when visiting!!!

My mom and I went on the History tour. We live only an hour away and have continuely visited plymouth over the last 2 decades. But we learned quite a bit on the the tour. It was fantastic and informative and entertaining as well. I highly recommend it, and I will be going on the Ghost Tour soon.

My mom, sister, and I decided to do this tour the night before we'd see the dayhtime tourist stuff that Plymouth has to offer. It was a wonderful tour that took us through the downtown area of historic Plymouth. Since the tour is in the evening, we did not have to worry about other tourists than those in our group. It also helped us navigate Plymouth in the daytime since we had already been there once. I would definately recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the history of Plymouth, at least more than the plaques provide. We did not even notice the time slip by.

A must do activity while visiting Plymouth!

My sister and I recently visited Plymouth and found the Lantern tour to be a wonderful addition to our visits to the Mayflower II and the Plymouth Plantation. This lantern tour gave us a greater understanding of the history of Plymouth, the pilgrims landing and the native American people who already occupied this area. By hearing the stories and the history of the people and the area you can really begin to understand the dynamics between the two groups and the conflicts and difficulties that occured. WE highly recommend this wonderfu 90 minute evening walk. The guides are very knowledgeable and personable.

Our Lantern Tour was so informative, because our tour guide was so well spoken that I'm spoiled now! I'd love to receive a personal tour to any point of interest in the future.

My mother, sister and I were in Boston to take on the Freedom Trail and other historical sites. I had decided to look into Plymouth to see the Mayflower II and the Plimoth Plantation (both worth seeing). While checking the website for other Plymouth activities I found the Lantern Tours. After spending the day at the other sites this Lantern Tour was a great way to finish out our historic interests as we were able to fill in the gaps with information that we had not obtained throughout the day. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable of the area and was very receptive to answer our individual questions. We were very pleased with the Tour and recommend it to all who would like to get a glimpse into the past of this country.

We were a group consisting of 3 adults and 3 children ages 3,7 and 10. The tour guide was great with the kids he kept it upbeat and very interesting. He kept everyone invovled by asking questions. He was very informed and really enjoyed it himself. Would recommend it.
