Activity Description
Plymouth's Original Ghost Tour has been entertaining visitors and locals alike since 1994. Featuring Plymouth's macabre past with incredible stories of blood, gore and ghosts, this candle-lit lantern tour provides a tantalizing view of events that have occurred in Plymouth throughout the years.

On this 90-minute historical walking tour, specially designed for the Halloween season you'll:

  • Learn the true story of a woman, considered to be a witch by many, who lived in Plymouth in the 18th century.
  • Hear about her curses, and the people affected by them.
  • Meet some of the ghosts featured in this tale as they suddenly appear out of the dark shadows.
  • Enter the graveyard of Burial Hill where your guide will show you gravesites related to the story.
  • Meet Mother Crewe herself as she reveals one of the curses she placed on poor, defenseless victims.
This tour is a great Halloween activity to experience with family and friends, though it is not recommended for children under 12. Come find your chill on Burial Hill...if you dare...

Each participant carries a hand-made punched tin lantern as they experience firsthand the ghastly events in Plymouth's past and the history behind them.

Don't forget to bring your own flash camera to attempt to capture spirit images!
