I'm sorry that I can't remember our lady tour guide's name but she was excellent. Unfortunately, because of the oncoming storm, we had to leave the tour about 10 minutes early as it neared closer to our hotel.

A great tour of historic Plymouth

We thoroughly enjoyed our Ghosts and Legends tour on Wednesday, November 22. It was the perfect start to our holiday in historic Plymouth. We all especially enjoyed the trip to the cemetary. Wish we had the opportunity to enter into some of the public buildings, such as the churches, but nonetheless a great introduction to town. We look forward to taking the other tour offered (history) the next time we visit.

Spooky Fun with a little history thrown in

We really enjoyed our "Ghosts and Legends" tour. Originally it was the "Halloween tour" but the weather didn't cooperate so we got the "Ghosts and Legends" tour. Our guide was great and she really got into the stories of ghosts that have been seen around Plymouth through the years and some of their grusome stories. There were times when we were in allieyways and the wind was whistling and gusting that we thought we'd see one of the ghosts any minute!

Learn as Legends Come Alive

Our guide was donned in festive Hallow's Eve garb and we carried authentic, metalic candle lanterns throughout our guided tour of old town Plymouth, MA. Our guide took us to different alleys and grave sites explaining the hauntings experienced at each site - the history alone is worth the walk and it was interesting to find out I have eaten lunch at one of the oldest and most haunted buildings in America!

How to get into the Halloween Spirit

I've done this tour in the past and always enjoy bringing friends along to experience it for the first time...Imagine walking with candle-lit tin lanterns through a very old burial ground with moonlight casting creepy shadows all around, or walking alongside houses and shops with haunted histories and peeking in their windows! It's always a different experience but without a doubt, a lot of fun and a great October tradition!

OK Tour - but a bit disappointing

We took this tour about 10 days prior to Halloween - and on a Saturday night. We booked the tour on-line about two days prior to the tour. We specifically chose this tour company over the others offered because 1) we had taken a tour by this company in the past and had enjoyed it; and 2) they have these wonderful lanterns that each participant gets to carry and we knew our children would enjoy that (they were very excited about it). We arrived about 15 minutes early - but learned that the tour was oversold and so almost no one got to carry a lantern. Only about 3 or 4 participants had lanterns to carry and the rest of us were given fluorescent light sticks. My children were very dissappointed as we had reassured them that everyone would get to carry a lantern -even children. Also, because there were so many people signed up for the tour, they brought in a second guide. They told us we should go with one of the guides if we wanted to go to the cemetery - or with the other guide if we did not. We would have liked to go with the guide going to the cemetery - but so did just about everyone else. And so we ended up going on the tour that did not see the cemetery. Additionally, explaining about the light sticks and the addition of the second tour guide did cause a delay, and so the tour started closer to 8:00 than 7:30. Since the guides had another round of tours at 9:00, I'm pretty sure we got an abbreviated tour. The ghost stories were about right for the children, not too scary - but a little hair-raising. Overall, the experience was fine, but a bit disappointing.

Well worth the time.

We were led on a gently-paced stroll around town for a truely informative tour of the history of Plymouth by a knowledgable guide. We enjoyed the hour and a half, or so, tremendously and would highly recommend it to others. We even bought a gently seasoned, authentic looking Pilgrim lantern that looks beautiful in my autumn table display!

A useful history lesson

We all think we know our history, but it is far more enlightening when placed at the location of an event with an infromative narrative to put things into perspective. This tour was very well presented, and thoroughly enjoyable. It was made better by the ghostly slant to the tales.

Heard some neat stories about the area. Even though ghosts didn't materialize during the tour, we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The tour was wonderfully entertaining. The tour guide that we had was a very good speaker and was great at telling the stories. The tour was well worth it and I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!

This was my 3rd. tour in 3 years. I took my children over the summer, and a group of friends recently. The different tours guides have different styles, but all were good.
