Worth doing

The weather on Thanksgiving week, 2009, was perfect for this trip. Just like the Three Bears--Just Right! This is a trip that visitors to Laughlin should do at least once. The boatman, Joe< was courteous and even found some Mountain Goats for us to look at. How he saw them while driving is beyond me, for they were really small and hard to see. However, once he had pointed them out to us, all of us could see them also. The time in Lake Havasu was adequate for dining and shopping.

We really enjoyed the tour. Very professional personell. She stopped and pointed out wildlife, petroglyffs etc, talked about history on the river. I would go again. My wife said she would too.

Enjoyable and informative trip up and down the river. Personable operators. Comfortable seats. Protected from the wind.. Without your own boat there is no way to see the beautiful scenery from the river. Bargain for a day of fun.

We thought that there would be more activities, and things to see once we got to the London Bridge.

My Husband and I (in our early 50's) enjoyed the trip to the London Bridge by the Jet Boat, we are both boaters in the Great Lakes in the Sturgeon Bay area. So we understand the cost of boating. The cost was very reasonable. This was a wonderful tour, and I highly recommend it. . Our Owner/Captain stopped the boat to show us beautiful landscapes and explained the history of the Colorado River. Oh and the Bridge.....Must See! Do it !

I, along with 9 friends, chose this activity to add to our recent visit to Laughlin. It was a very enjoyable experience. The concensus of the group was that it was well worth the time and money spent. We will most likely do this again. The pilot of the jet boat offered timely input to various landmarks along the way. We had an absolutely perfect day weather wise which only added to the pleasant experience.

These two 'kids' went the extra mile for us. I asked a few questions about the area and by the time I got off the boat I had a packet waiting for me at the dock with more information than I ever could have asked for. What NICE NICE people. The world would be a better place if every one could act as they do.

The tour was awesome, and the scenery was fabulous. The weather was chilly and kind of windy but it was worth it.

We (a group of three ladies) went on the Jetboat tour from Laughlin to Lake Havasu City in late October 2009. We thought it would be open air but just the week before our tour, the 'canopy' with windows was fitted onto the boat, so it was not too cold nor windy. The boat is fast, the trip is fun, and we enjoyed it immensely. The trip up is about 2 hours, then you are given 2 hours to enjoy the London Bridge and surrounds and eat some lunch, then the trip back is the final 2 hours. Our captain was Jenny. I tried to call her Captain Jenny, and she said it is "Just Jenny." So from then on, of course, she was dubbed "Captain Just Jenny." She was informative, giving us lots of good info on the areas we were passing, and she piloted the boat wonderfully, skillfully navigating twists in the river and negotiating skiboat wakes so that we passengers had the best possible ride. It's noisy on board from the boat engines, as well as the wind, and BE PREPARED for a wild shock when the Captain blares the horn -- it is LOUDER than LOUD, especially if you are sitting toward the front of the boat. The boat we were on had around ten rows of seats, two seats on each side of the boat with an aisle down the middle, and the front row holds only one passenger on each side. So the feeling is friendly, not like you are one out of a huge number of passengers, lost in the crowd. Be sure to dress in layers so you can cool down or warm up as the weather dictates. Bring a small snack and bottle of water for each leg of the trip if you tend to get hungry before two hours are up. There is no place to stow a cooler etc so just carry your stuff in a tote bag or large purse, or a small backpack. In Lake Havasu City there are a lot of restaurants where you can get lunch, from a cheap sandwich at Kelly's (under the Loondon Bridge, right where you debark from the jetboat) to Shagrue's Fine Dining (sit down restaurant with a pricey menu but delicious food). It's fun to walk across the London Bridge, and to examine up close the immense stones of which it is built, and to ponder the history it has seen. There's also souvenir shopping in the adjacent 'mall' area along with the restaurants. You'll be ready to sit down again after the two hour lunch break, and ride back to Laughlin. We had a delightful time, and hope you do too.
