Activity Description
Join us on a delicious and educational walking food tour of Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward as we discover this lively neighborhood! This tour samples a wide range of cuisines, all of which are tied together nicely with a 5-ounce sample of genuine Wisconsin-brewed beer, just in case you forgot you were still in Milwaukee! Savor the food tastings and enjoy a taste of life in this culturally rich and entertaining district.
KEY DETAILS:
Tour Length – Approximately one mile, with plenty of walking breaks and opportunities to sit down along the way. We spend approximately 20 minutes at each restaurant.
Time Commitment – Between 2 - 2.5 hours, depending on the pace of the group
Fun Facts– Did you know that only one firehouse ever burned down in Wisconsin and it was housed in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward? Did you know that many movies were filmed in the Historic Third Ward, including The Blues Brothers and Dillinger? On this tour route, you’ll visit these sites and view the building known as Milwaukee’s “Polish Moon.”
All tastings are included in the price. Samples are substantial - for the vast majority of attendees, you will not need to plan for a meal after the tour!
Parting Gift: All tours conclude with the sweet note of chocolate. Each attendee will also receive a take-home packet of spices so that they can bring the taste of Milwaukee into their own kitchen plus coupons to revisit local establishments.
What Is Not Included?
Beer and non-alcoholic beverages are included but other beverages are not. Please bring extra cash with you if you'd like to purchase beverages during the tour. Gratuities for your tour guide, although not required, are always appreciated.
