On this guided, narrated walking tour, you'll learn about Milwaukee's rich history and architecture while sampling flavors from approximately 6 ethnic eateries and food shops along the way.
After the tour, you will be able to explore Milwaukee with confidence and take advantage of our many unique entertainment and cultural offerings. We recommend taking our food tour at the beginning of your stay in Milwaukee so you can return to these neighborhoods and enjoy them at your leisure.

Experience life and ethnic heritage in Milwaukee - join us as we offer a unique glimpse into Milwaukee’s past and share insights into local entertainment and restaurants. As we stroll through Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward, we'll prove to you why Milwaukee is truly a “great place on a great lake.”
How does this tour in the Third Ward differ from the other tour that we offer?
- This tour is approximately 1 mile in length, takes 2 hours, and starts/ends in the same spot.
- You will be sampling 2 food items prepared with pine nuts and sampling one item with shrimp, and there are no substitutes for those items.
- This tour explores food samples of many ethnicities, not just Italian and German tastings.
Your journey will include many delicious tastings such as at:
- An American restaurant
- An Italian pizzeria
- An Irish pub featuring Milwaukee brewed beer
- A Turkish establishment
- French or Japanese cuisine
- A chocolate maker and confectionery
On this intimate tour of Milwaukee's Third Ward, you'll see the proud heritage of our town. We'll show you many little-known treasures, and we'll stroll through the bustling Milwaukee Public Market afterwards as well.
All tastings are included in the price. Enough food is served that for most participants, lunch or dinner afterward is not needed.
What Is Not Included?
Water and a beer sampling (or alternatives such as root beer, soda, or lemonade for underage participants) are included but other beverages are not. Please bring extra cash with you if you'd like to purchase beverages during the tour. Gratuities for your tour guide, although not required, are always appreciated.
