The guides Ray and Teresa were outstanding. They brought the group together and made the tour a community experience. The Historic third ward was beautiful and the food was exceptional. Ray was well versed in the local history and painted a vivid picture of the past, present and future of the culinary values of the area. I look forward to a future visit and I will definitely take another food tour with Milwaukee Food Tours. |

This was a very nice experience. It was perfectly paced. Portions were not too big and not too small--and that goes for the food, the walking, and the interesting tidbits from Ray, our tour guide. The whole tour had a slow, steady rhythm that never left you wishing you had more to eat, or more time at the place you just left.
Ray, our particular guide, has a tremendous wealth of knowledge about the area and the food you're eating. And he has a great feel for balancing when to engage with you socially and when to just let the group meander on their own. He was diligent, kind, and very respectful of whenever me and my boyfriend--or any other couple on the tour, for that matter--wanted simply to be left to themselves and the meal they were enjoying.
The food was pretty good, too! I appreciated the chance to stretch my legs after each pit-stop, which meant I never felt too full and lethargic. Overall, my boyfriend and I had a great time and would wholeheartedly recommend either Ray or the specific tour through the Third Ward. |

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Jim was an informative and easy-going guide. The food was good. We took this tour on our first night in the city, so we found it to be a helpful orientation to that area of Milwaukee. We would take this tour again. |

We loved the tour itself. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and the tour itself was very interesting. However, on the Milwaukee Food Tours website, the tour is described as discovering "true ethnic treasures" and says it includes sampling "a wide range of cuisines," but in truth there wasn't much "ethnic" about the food we tasted. On our tour we sampled a creamy sweet potato soup, a slice of Margherita pizza, a fancy grilled cheese sandwich with sweet potato chips, lamb and chicken kebabs, and a glass of champagne with a piece of chocolate. The food WAS delicious, but only the kebabs could be called ethnic, and really that's even a stretch. We had hoped to sample more ethnic food.....food we may not have had the opportunity to try before (and we have sampled very little ethnic cuisine). All in all, we would recommend the tour, BUT with the understanding that it really doesn't offer tastings of "ethnic treasures" as the website claims. |

Our tour guide was great and very excited to be with us on our tour but it seemed like she didn't do her homework on the history of the third ward other than what was written down on a few sheets of paper. |

My husband and I had a great time on the tour. Our tour guide, Hailey, was wonderful. She was fun to talk with and made us feel at ease during the tour. The food was great and we were stuffed by the end of the tour. It's a great way to find great local restaurants on a vacation that a tourist wouldn't know about. We also loved the Historic Third Ward District that we toured. It had a wonderful ambiance with quaint shops.
The tour was the highlight of our trip to Milwaukee. When we come back, we will definetly plan on going on a tour. |

What a great way to celebrate a special day (for me it was my 30th birthday). You get to experience the great food, culture, and history of an area for a reasonable price. You really bond with your fellow travellers, too. Tons of food...yes you will go into a food coma! So enjoy! You'll have a lot of fun...even if it's a rainy day. Well worth it! |
