We really enjoyed the tour.

Even though it was cold outside, it was fun to see the river and learn the history of the Third Ward. The walk is not overwhelming. Quite easy. The restaurants were very diversified; not all the same, and the food was EXCELLENT. I'm still looking for a recipe to make the black bean balls! And, the chicken dumpling soup has a spice that we couldn't quite figure out, but give us time..... We were under the impression that we would have a glass of beer with each course, but only had it with the sandwich. I think a drink, other than water, would have been a great enhancement to each course. For example, coffee with the cupcake? I would recommend this tour to anyone and we plan on going to a few of the others this summer.

We got together for my mother's birthday and enjoyed our time. Some interesting facts about the city and a great way to see some places I never would have stopped.

I'm the type of person who doesn't venture outside foods I like. This was a great way to taste a variety of different foods. The history and different cultures were as interesting as the food. I would highly recommend this and I am planning on coming back with family and try it in the summer.

good/ could be better

my tour was good, but there were a few things that could have been better . Our first stop was for soup in the public market, the last few people in the group had to take whatever was left , they had no choices. also there was no place to sit and eat the soup as it was cold/windy outside. we leaned against a deli counter that was under construction ! In the restaurant Tulip, we were not offered the lamb kabobs, the chicken kebobs were OK .In the pizza restaurant, beer or wine should have been offered, water just doesn't taste right with pizza ! lastly at the restaurant Coquette we had our mousse in the lobby ,not allowed in the restaurant for some reason. Coffee /tea definitely should have been included !

I guess I misread the original description as I thought it said food and drink samples were served at each stop but this is not the case. Only one small tiny 5 oz beer is served the entire evening otherwise its water and a few small things to eat. The soup was ok... It all went downhill from there. We mistakenly assumed we would stop at some nice places and try some neat things while learning about the third ward. not the case. pizza, soup, and other boring stuff with water to drink. the guide was not very enthusiastic either. I felt like this tour was very overpriced for what you get and the tour is dragged on longer than it needed to be considering the lack of quality things to eat and drink.
