Great time and tons of food!

I had a great time on the Brady Street tour! My family was in from out of town and had never been to Milwaukee and we had a blast. We had more food than we knew what to do with, and learned a lot about the Brady street history. The best part is that by the time we got to the Brewery the rest of the tour had drifted off and left all their beer tickets to us! Our tour guides were very friendly and enjoyable and I would highly recommend this experience. I can't wait to try some of the other Milwaukee tours!

Brady Stree Tour

The tour was okay but could stand to improve on several items. Felt hurried at most of the restaurants and portions were quite small. Didn't see the value in visiting the grocery store or bakery. Online description of the tour indicates that beer and wine would be included, however only received 2 extremely shot glass sized samples of beer at a local brewery. Web site also indicated that we would receive chocolate at the end, but never received it. I saw a lot of restaurants along the way that I would be interested in visiting on another return to Milwaukee, however these were not included in the tour. Also felt that they should provide transportation back to your vehicle, since this was quite a walk back to the recommended parking lot and you were left to find this on your own.

A Great Way to Spend an Afternoon

Living in Chicago I have been to Milwaukee over the years for various events or an evening out. But this walking tour was a great way to get to know the city and its history. It made a great birthday gift for my boyfriend. We totally enjoyed it.

My husband and I and another couple enjoyed the walking food tour very much. The guide was knowledgeable; the places we stopped were interesting; and the food was terrific! We walked away saying we'd never go on another walking tour again unless food was involved. We even returned to some of the stops to do some shopping later! Truly a great time.

Planning to make this an annual event

I have a group of lady friends and we call ourselves "The Runaway Girls", six of us attended the food tour and we hope all 12 will make it next year. We all thought the tour was well worth it. The food was great, the history even better. We understand there will be new tours added yearly and we look forward to what Theresa picks for next year.

Interesting

The historical information was interesting, especially considering I have lived in this city for over 45 years. If your main interest is the food, this may not be the tour for you. As mentioned in the description, it is a 'tasting'. Overall, an enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Loved being able to see the neighborhoods up close and personal. Theresa was very friendly and informative. Loved the history and little tidbits of information about the places we visited.

Worthwhile experience

The weather was lovely, the group very diverse but congenial. Theresa provided interesting history for the various businesses. ( I'm not sure Oprah went to high school in Milwaukee, though. Maybe that could be double-checked for us skeptics!) Also, it would be nice if the businesses selected were all open on Sunday to provide more than a peek through the window! The pace and variety was nice and Theresa kept everyone moving in a diplomatic way.
